“Finding
More Truth in Fiction than Non-Fiction”
cji

Introduction:
Over the history of the world man[i] has
found more truth in fiction than in non-fiction. The willingness of men
to believe that which is false is easier and justifies their actions or lack of
actions if far more preferable than what is actual and true. One need not
look too far into the written history to find the validation of this thought
and its understanding. The rhetoric of the Greeks and other early writers
appealing to the justifications of men is overwhelming in what today is
considered great literature[ii].
Whereas the Shebako Stone[iii] and
other ancient writings are ignored or not otherwise made easily available to
those who would really seek truths.
Many
would rather embrace the confusing Creeds[iv]
of men for their standards of beliefs and reality of their professions of
faith. These Creeds written by committees of men after the death of the
Savior and that of all of the Apostles are confusing at best and Greek
Philosophy at worst. Yet this is the standard for either being a
Christian or not. The Creeds set the standard for who will be saved or
not. Yet the Creeds themselves are almost incomprehensible when one seeks
a relationship between them and the Books of the Bible. These Creeds
represent the justifications of men (clergy of the time) and what they could
not understand – refused to believe – take literally – they changed and adapted
to what they could comprehend. (Author’s Note: Creeds while referencing
the Scriptures (i.e. 1 Corinthians 15, 3-7) fall far
short of comprehending or explaining what the intent and purpose was of such
scripture.)
Within an introduction one should make a statement about
what is truth (non-fiction) and what is not. In this case which will deal
specifically with religion (or a belief in Jesus Christ and the Holy Scriptures[v]) this is imperative to
understand. The ‘Holy Bible[vi]’ which
sets the standard for most of what is considered the Christian World and
therefore needs to be addressed ‘in toto’. The Holy Bible is a collection
of Books written by various Prophets of Heavenly Father and his Son – Jesus
Christ. The Bible[vii] in
and of itself today is a multitude of various translations, revisions, and
incomplete. Most scholars understand that the total of the Bible would be
over 3000 different Books each standing alone and in support of the other Books
of the Bible. Of these 3000+ Books of the Bible we’ve less than 100 of
them found present day. The Books of the Bible are in no chronological
order – they are in the order placed for the convenience of those who prepared
the first revisions in the late 1400’s and early 1500’s. Further over the 1400
years since the death and resurrection of the Savior Jesus Christ – many have
been translated, lost, destroyed and some still remained in hidden chambers and
unavailable to modern scholars or the world[viii].
It is well known that since the late 1940’s (while many old records have been
uncovered in the two centuries before) old records dating to the 4th
and 3rd Centuries BC and 1st to 3rd Century AD
have continued to increase in number and quality[ix].
(End of Introduction)
What does all of this (the Introduction above)
mean? First, and foremost that man willingly accepts anything presented
in a favorable forum and which justifies their current behavior. Second,
that what man is willing to accept is not necessarily true. Third, that
in their quest for hurry-up religion, life, pleasures any introspection on
their part into the factual history or validity of what is being taught is not
important or necessary. Fourth, that once accepted men tend to close their
minds to anything which contradicts what they’ve already accepted as true –
whether it is true or not. And lastly, that those who are selling know
this about men and use it to their advantage to gain wealth, power, lusts, and
most importantly to teach what is their doctrines mixed with Greek Philosophy
and what is considered to be Scripture[x].
As a result of these teachings to the masses the
definition of Christianity has been changed from one who accepts Jesus Christ –
to only applying to one who accepts the Creeds of Men! That only those
who claim to be ‘saved’ will be saved and all others will be damned
forever. That those little children under the age of eight or mentally
incapable of being taught are damned forever if not Baptized. And
finally, that anyone who has never had the chance to hear the Gospel of Jesus
Christ taught will be forever damned.
Let’s look at each of the above individually. The
definition of a ‘Christian[xi]’ as
found in the World English Dictionary (and others):
— n
|
|
1.
|
a. a person who believes in and follows Jesus Christ
|
b. a member of a Christian Church
or denomination
|
|
2.
|
|
As
one can see this is not the same as the definition which the various
‘Christian’ religions define themselves as – which is found in their various
‘Creeds’. Thus they eliminate by their definition anyone else being a
‘Christian’. By such elimination fiction has replaced non-fiction in the
simplest of all definitions basic to the believing of the Bible. If one can
change the basic definition as it relates to the Bible – what can’t they change
in their quest to promote what they believe and oppose that which the Father,
the Son and their Apostles and Disciples taught in reality?
It
must be remembered if someone starts off with a false premise as their basic
teaching then the rest or all of their presentation will be flawed. Yet
we know today that many i.e. theories are riff with inconsistency but accepted
by many as being the whole truth[xiii].
(Author’s Note: Evolution and/or the Theory of Evolution are two separate
issues – yet many in the world have forced the theory to be accepted as the
theorem. Most have never read the full writings of Darwin to note that he
stated that he could not prove his theory but hoped someone else might.
Indeed, more and more evidence supports what he learned that he could never get
past a first two of any species. Lest one digress on this the study of
DNA has proved with multiple cases that the current human DNA does not exceed
6,500 to 7,000 years (even though the various scientists want to refute their
own testing processes[xiv]).
Next
to be discussed is the idea of being ‘saved’[xv].
What does it mean to be ‘saved’ – or better what was the purpose of the
Atonement of Jesus Christ? Was it not to save ‘all’ with the exception of
those who commit murder (the shedding of innocent blood) and those who deny the
Holy Ghost. We’ll diverge to discuss Murder and denying the Holy
Ghost. Murder is what is in the Commandment – not ‘kill’. In war
combatants ‘kill’ which has been done since the beginning of warfare (which Satan
brought to this world). While when one commits murder it is a deliberate
act to take another’s life. Secondly is the denial of the Holy Ghost
which one can only do when they’ve received the Gift of the Holy Ghost from one
with authority to bestow it. This always refers to members of the Church
of Jesus Christ – in any of the various dispensations (seven) where it has been
on this earth with all of the keys to both Priesthood and Covenants by
direction of Jesus Christ. Thus the term Apostate would identify these
who deny the Holy Ghost. Lest we digress too far let’s not forget that
the sin of sexual immorality is second only to these two listed above – murder
and denial.
Thus
with knowledge one who is ‘saved’ would be anyone who’s not numbered as a
murderer or apostate! This would mean everyone and all who’ve lived on
this earth in their window of mortality. Therefore the most remote person
living in the most remote area of the world is saved, not just those who join
some form of organized religion – for is not God a just God and
unchanging? Yet men deny this simple common sense understanding of being
saved. Further, they extend their exclusions not only to those who’ve
never heard the Gospel taught but also to anyone – anywhere who’s not been
baptized by one their own man ordained preachers. What cruelty this
associates with the Savior – who said, “Except ye become as little children, ye
shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”[xvi]
Conclusion:
Let
us all remember that we’ve to do our own homework – to read on our own the
Bible and other Scriptures. To take the time to kneel in prayer over what
is and is not true. Forever is a long time to reflect on what you
could’ve or should’ve done in this mortal probation. Too many are too busy
condemning others for their beliefs and not spending enough time of
clarification of what they believe. We’ve no time to be passing ‘final
judgment’ on others when we’ve so much to do in preparing ourselves.
Shall
we be found on the right side or the left side of the Savior at the 2nd
Coming? This is a valid choice we’ve to make in mortality if we’ve heard
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we can read the Bible then we can be
counted among those who have heard the Gospel. Should we choose not to
believe the Bible literally we’ll be accounted for this mental action. If
we refuse the Bible literally we will have chosen instead to believe the
teachings of men rather than that of God. William Tyndale when
summarizing his early Translation of the Scriptures said, "If God spared
him life, ere many years he would cause a boy that driveth the plough to know
more of the Scripture than he did."[xvii]
If
what Tyndale said can be taken for what he said (some scholars dispute this)
then there is no reason we need to pay someone to teach us to understand the
Scriptures! Are we to be the ones who say this is a Christian and this
one isn’t? Can we say the Bible is wrong and the Creeds are
correct? Can we deny the power, justice and mercy of our Heavenly Father
and his Son? Will we be found as those who stoned the Prophets – killed
the Apostles and then murdered all of the remaining old Christians of the 3rd
– 5th Centuries? Are we among those to be numbered with the
ones who burned, strangled, or otherwise murdered those who brought to the common
man the Scriptures? (Author’s note: even little children were included in
these massacres – and William Tyndale was strangled and then burned at the
stake.)
There’s
a hymn we sing from time to time, “Who’s on the Lords Side, Who?” We
might want to remind ourselves of who we are – where did we come from and where
might we be going? Sadly too many are too absorbed within themselves to
consider what is really being taught to them in repetitive lessons on TV, in
Movies, their Music and especially in main stream media. Back to the
basics – common sense – and the real reason we learned to do our homework as
little children.
