"What Does One Say?" (Celestially Important)

“What is the proper wish for the annual date of the "Sealing?" This was asked from one on my mailing list – below is my reply – (whereas I’ve quoted Scripture this answer is mine and not an official statement of the Church):

When something is Celestially important – which goes beyond the veil and into the eternities it would be considered a Blessing. Both a mortal and eternal Blessing. One is entered into a mortal and eternal covenant with one’s spouse and thus with their family. Most all of our covenants are between each individual and with Heavenly Father and the Son – while being accomplished with the Son as an advocate with the Father.

A Temple Sealing is a multiple-fold covenant – which is not only sacred and private – but public and open. We covenant with our spouse and with our children who’ve either transferred the veil – and also with our progenitors who’ve gone before. For a yet unborn child or children they’re included in the Sealing of the Couple – while those children already born are Sealed to their parents after their initial Sealing. Thus we’ve the term called Born In the Covenant (BIC) for those yet unborn. There is no term for those living children Sealed to their parents – other than the Sealing Covenant. Each and every person who is part of the Sealing Covenant are responsible for their own worthiness (after the age of 8 years old) for the Covenant to be both binding and Eternal.

The Temple Sealing is called the New and Everlasting Covenant! The Savior in the Scriptures gave this authority to Seal on Earth – what will then be Sealed in Heaven throughout all eternities. The second part of what we read in Matthew 16:19, “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (this is also found in the Book of Helaman).” Thus whatever is not Sealed by the proper authority of either a Prophet or Apostle called and ordained at the direction of the Savior (and none else) – is not Sealed in Heaven! This is why civil marriages (of any kind) are only for mortal time – thus in most ceremonies one can hear the words, “Till death do you part!” which is a divorce decree to any earthly marriage. Some professional clergy have tried to change this ending – but they do so without Divine Authority, and on their own.

One must understand that almost all of the worldly creeds teach of a God without body, parts or passions. Therefore, man/woman must become without body, parts or passions after death. Without any of these attributes one is as nothing – i.e. ex-nihilo; which is what most claim this earth is made out of or the teaching of Creatio Ex-Nihilo by most of the world. This was never taught before the 3rd or 4th Century AD. It cannot be found in any of the oldest documents found going back to over 3,000 years before the birth of the Savior. In addition, each must remember that the living Savior appeared to thousands after his death and resurrection with a body of flesh and bone – which many including the Apostles touched and broke bread with and ate. Further, each must remember that all of those who’ve left such a testimony also indicate the Saviors tears and the out-pouring of the Spirit (feelings) in his presence.

If one is to take the Scriptures as being true – they must also take them as being ‘literal’ – and not as the world has been taught to take them since the 2nd Century AD onward. Taking the Scriptures literally puts a much different definition to what one is reading – i.e. Jesus always said he was doing the work and will of He who sent him! He always referred to this person who sent him as his Father! When the Savior was baptized by John (his cousin) – all there testified that the Heavens opened – and a voice declared, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased!” Then the Holy Ghost appeared in the form of a dove – as a second testimony – one must remember the Savior already had the Gift of the Holy Ghost – as the literal Son of the Father or as the Son of God the Father – our Heavenly Father.

During the Saviors 40 day ministry and time with the Apostles after his resurrection – he took them and their wives (and one would guess their families) – to the Temple and performed the eternal ordinances with them.

Why do not all know this information as found in the Scriptures and records – because man/woman have replaced the Gnosis with their logismoi (which they indeed say they’ve done) – as prophesized by Paul and others. Today we find groups claiming the ‘logismoi’ to be wisdom and knowledge – having desired to alter completely the meaning of using man/woman’s wisdom vice that of the Savior, the Father and the Prophet’s and Apostles. Confusion and contention are the tools of the adversary – to beguile by any means and have their minions and disciples help considerably. They’ve done the same with the word, ‘Gnosis’ – and by changing meaning and definition destroy the initial intent.

One must also remember that many Prophets of the Old and New Testament are left out of the Bible – and of the over 3400 books of original Scriptures we’ve only left what is found in the Old and New Testament. Since the mid-1800’s there has been over 2600+ revisions and editions of the Holy Bible (this was as of 1956).

Thus when one speaks or even refers to anything as being Celestially Important most know almost nothing about the life after this life – the eternities – and especially the importance of a Temple Sealing on this earth and during our mortal probation for either us or our ancestors. Thus to wish one continued blessings in this life and in the eternities to come would be the most appropriate thing to say or to hope for one sharing this information of the remembrance of the date of their Temple Sealing.

A final note – many who are married within the hallowed halls of the House of the Lord (the Temple) – after their marriage are then Sealed for time and all eternity. Secondly, one can be married in the Temple of the Lord – without being Sealed. This would mean that the wife has already been Sealed before and her eternal companion has preceded her through the Veil. It can also apply to other circumstances – but this one should suffice.

“What Does One Say?”

6/13/10

Sometimes, many times
we know not what to say
for such sacred events
eternal Temple Sealings
Celestially important
yet unknown to most
not taught in the world
yet an eternal statute
Matthew 16:19 found
and other places too
what does one say
would be best to share
‘continued blessings
with you my friends’
most appropriate
for such convenants
Celestrially important!
