Obedience to do today
yesterday and tomorrow
with a sense of freedom
to enter Father’s kingdom
and ward off all sorrow
for this we each must pray!

We’ve a friends visiting South Africa currently – as per the norm much of what they see and hear is about the recent past (last 70 years) and not the last 400 years. Here’s what I responded with - c

Remember when South Africa was settled – there was no one living there. After the area was beginning to be settled – those who had no employment other where’s started to come into the land. It wasn’t perfect – but it was also very scary in parts of Africa – many who were sold into slavery were sold by the conquering tribes – and it was one step better than complete destruction. When the comments were being made in South Africa by Sen. Robert Kennedy – complete groups of white people were being liquidated in Rhodesia (North and South) – by those who’d moved to the area for work. Still today this liquidation is going on within Zimbabwe. Yes it was and is unfair – but one must remember events sometimes frame themselves to those in power. As Ben Franklyn observed, “Traitor is the term applied to those who lose a war – by those who win the war.” There’re many today in the areas you’re visiting feel it’s just a matter of time for similar liquidations to begin.

Of course we’ve nothing by love and understanding in our nation with Jesse Jackson and his powerful friends – who teach hatred instead of understanding. You and I and others will someday have to atone for the slavery which occurred here – relative to those enslaved (both white and black) who otherwise would’ve been annihilated prior to the slavery option. Civilization has little to do with rights and wrongs – but more with who’s in power. Many in the US would rather have a King than an elected government – some think we have one already – most don’t want freedom with responsibility and accountability – they want the fruits of another’s labor without doing anything themselves (a review of history has always shown this to be the case).

We must remember in the pre-existence there was only one Plan. However, there were two who offered to implement the Plan – the Savior – with the words, “Thy will be done – and the glory be thine.” And the other, “Let me go and I’ll have everyone return – the glory be mine.” Thus we’ve the introduction of both freedom and slavery from the very beginning. The first offering the right of choice (to choose to be obedient or not) and the other with no choice (but to be obedient without any thought of doing wrong).

Don’t misunderstand my thinking on slavery – however, let’s remember that sometimes it’s the only route to freedom of accountability and responsibility. Heavenly Father understood this – and therefore – we’ve the choice to obey or not. The sadness is when we choose not to obey we voluntarily relinquish our freedom of choices. Thus are we not in slavery to our Heavenly Father and the Savior? Do we not refer to them as Lord and Master? Do they not inflict harsh penalties upon those who’re disobedient? One must remember the stage in which mortality is played upon is very short in relationship to the eternities taught in the Scriptures. Yet how many by their choices infinitely define the limitations of what will happen after their mortal probation by having disobeyed even the simplest of Commandments?

Most feel the Old Testament is harsh and unforgiving – but it was the people and their continuous rebellion – wanting the easier life (at the expense of others) which caused their hardships. What was the penalty for disobedience to the Father and the Son? Death! What is our penalty to disobedience to the Father and the Son? A Spiritual Death and never being allowed to be with our loved ones in the Celestial Kingdom of which Paul and the Savior taught to all! “Many are called, but few are chosen – and why are they not chosen? Because their hearts are set so much upon the things of the world.” Should we then judge the history of a people from 20/20 hindsight? Rather should we not be obedient to the commands of the Father and the Son – doing what we’re to be doing today in our time and place? (See James 1:27)

Didn’t mean to go on like this but felt clarification was needful between friends. When a nation fosters hatred – they give life to it. Our nation is like this – it fosters division and hatred. Why? Because it is the easiest way for another to control and have power! Divide and conquer. The adversary loves it – and has been using it since the beginning of time and his rejection by the Father in favor of the 1st Born. Will there be a bloodbath in South Africa – I hope not – but if history is a measure of what will happen – someday at sometime things will go seriously wrong. England today is only the beginning (the riots there are planned – the same as those in our nation after every major sporting event). Sadly man/woman prefer war to peace – and hatred to love – and contention to happiness. Life is really quite simple and plain – yet we work overtime to complicate even the simplest tasks.

Sacrificing one’s life
giving of some or all
remember all the strife
answering freedom’s call;

Thus a salute for each
flags flying half-mast
our veterans to reach
freedom’s highest caste!

Over the millennial of time – one studies history. What do they learn? One can only find the results of what has taken place! Benjamin Franklin spoke often of how the winners or survivors relate their renditions of what took place. These results are biased and from only one point of view – especially in oral traditions. When one considers the absolute destruction of one people or another. The total destruction of civilizations – removing any memory or relics and to totally destroy men, women and children. Indeed sometimes both civilizations would be totally annihilated by each other fighting to the last man/woman or child on both sides. One knows that from research that many written records were destroyed or tampered with over time. In addition, there were very few written documents during certain periods of history. Even today we watch history being rewritten to serve the few and their point of view. If someone looks back 100 years from now at what our media leaves behind they’ll have no idea what was truth or fiction – what was real or imagined – only that what they see is a biased point of view. They will see only the results of what is left by those who controlled the means of information.

As each person goes forward into the new day they’ve control over the decisions which they make. However, they’ve no control over the results of their choices be they good or evil. One knows (or should) the difference of right and wrong – good and bad – righteous or unrighteous – but many like to point out the grey of each. There is no grey – never has been – except in the rhetorical teachings of men/women. Things are black or white! Thus when choices are made one knows why they’re making their choice. Yes, one can see instant gratification from a choice – but this is only short term and they will not see or refuse to see the long term consequences of making poor choices for the moment. Thus many are willing to risk all to follow the world and ignoring or slighting the principles of righteous behavior. Window washing of the soul is a poor substitute for obedience to the Commandments of God (all of them – all of the time).

The results will be found upon our last day in mortal life and first day in eternal life. Each needs to understand that through the Atonement of the Savior all (none excluded) are saved from eternal death! Those who’ve heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and those who have not heard or even know of the Savior. Anyone and everyone ever born into mortal life (within the womb) are saved! As for the results for each individual they’ll be based upon several things. First, what we did with the Gospel of Jesus Christ if we were among those who could read the Scriptures (all of them) and what actions they took upon their understandings. Did we act upon them literally or impersonally? Did we seek to approach the Father in righteousness for the answers to questions (we have/had) about the Scriptures? How did we change our lives after receiving this knowledge? How well did our example help others to learn what we have learned, discerned, understand and acted upon from the Scriptures?

Second, all will accountable for how they lived their lives and the talents which each had/have. This means all – those who heard the Gospel and those who did not! Our works will be part and parcel of what our long term results will be based upon. What examples did we set for others? Paul Meyer wrote, “Is what I’m doing what I want others to do? If not what do I need to do to change? For all we do is reteachable to another – whether good or bad.” James speaks of works being critical to our salvation – as do all of the Prophets and Apostles. “Faith without works is dead.” Almost all clergy and various forms of religion known as Christian disregard this concept – indication one is saved by faith alone. i.e. the Grace of God. However, they misunderstand the meaning and purpose of grace. Grace is the hand extended from the Father and the Son to give us the strength to endure, understand and do what is right. Therefore, what we do – more than what we say – will have a great effect on the results of our lives and all who’ve ever lived a mortal life.

Third, what did we do with truth in our lives? Each is accountable for the acceptance or rejection of pure truth. It is not for us to define men/women’s definition of truth – but that which the light of soul which instinctively knows between truth and untruth. Many have chosen to turn off the light – or deny it’s presence. (Note: We’re not talking about the Gift of the Holy Ghost when referring to the light of our soul.) Everyone is a child of God – none are not who’ve entered into mortal life. Even the 1/3 of the host that followed the adversary were at one time and still are children of Heavenly Father – but have denied their birthright. Thus being Father’s children we’ve inherent gifts to be like and to become like Him. This light allows us to come closer unto the Father and the Son – and to recognize the truth of all things if we use it righteously. This light is continuous and eternal if it is used – however, by disuse or misuse it can dim and eventually be just a lost glimmer waiting for us to reawaken. Even the most evil of men and women can repent – by which process they can again feel this light. Thus here is the problem of the world – they love putting people into various stations. They’re evil – they’re good – they will be condemned – they’ll be saved – they’re borderline – and so the lists continue.

Fourth, the worthiness of our personal integrity, moral excellence – virtue – and are we doing what we were made to do in righteousness. Have we lived a life of righteousness – doing and being in the service of others. Are we doing Father’s will and not ours – until ours is in complete harmony with His! Do we act in pure religion as defined throughout the Scriptures – to care for the widow, the orphan, the naked, the hungry, those in travail – those who need what we’ve to share? Do we murmur in our hearts or do we rejoice at the opportunities and trials which we’ve to endure? Are we a happy and joyful people?

Fifth, if we’ve received the Gift of the Holy Ghost – what have we done with this gift? (Note: Be mindful one can only receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost by one who has the authority to give this gift.) Do we use this gift for the good of all men/women/children? Do we use this gift to build up the Kingdom of God on this earth? Are we doing what we’ve covenanted at our Baptism into the Saviors Church – restored today, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? (Note: Outside of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the Priesthood and Authority to give the Gift of the Holy Ghost is not present.) Worse have we denied the Gift of the Holy Ghost? Remembering in the Scriptures we find there’s only two sure ways to be damned: 1) to deny the Holy Ghost; and 2) to shed innocent blood. Therefore one has to have received the Gift of the Holy Ghost to be able to deny it; i.e. apostates from The Church of Jesus Christ in whatever dispensation it has been upon the earth – with those having the keys to bestow it upon another. (Note: Throughout the recorded history of mankind – the true Church has always been referred to as The Church of Jesus Christ (currently being called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). For a church called by any other name cannot be the Savior’s church – for it is the church of those who named it otherwise.)

Lastly – final judgment is not ours – therefore we’ve no control over the final result in our lives – but we do have the power to exercise our course to be worthy. This is why none can judge another in eternal life. We do not know any external influences which men/women/children have had to endure – with or without knowledge of the Savior for the actions or reactions in their individual lives. The results which many see only day to day – week to week – month to month – or of any time in history are temporary – based on the view point of the one(s) making or writing the history of the past or present. Now if one reads the Scriptures (all of them) with pure intent and takes them literally – one can have a decent idea of what will happen in the future.

When the final harvest comes – for each of us it is the last day of our mortal life and the first day of our eternal life – all will be harvested – good and the evil – righteous and unrighteous – some will be taken – some will be burned – removing them from mortal life. In the preexistence we all fought for the right to make decisions/choices – that we might choose the right – choose to be obedient – confident in our abilities to endure all of the worldly temptations and wiles. Many of us having fallen short – which is why we’ve the ability to repent and sin no more. Man and woman are of a natural mind – unable yet to be perfect – but each has this opportunity to become even as God the Father and the Son – in fact we’ve been commanded to become like them!!

The results of anyone’s life on this world is something one cannot completely control – yet we can make choices to be obedient – righteous (serving and doing Father’s will) – not seeking the glory of the world or men/women. Again we can look to the past – and even the present and see ‘results’ as interpreted by men/women – and yet if we study the choices prior to these results we might find completely different results rather than the bias of men/women. We can make choices to overcome the world/worldly – we can decide to be obedient – we can choose the right every time – or we can choose to do otherwise. The Scriptures are very clear – without mystery or doubt – and instructive of what will happen based on our choices in eternal life – and how to be happy and joyful in this our mortal life’s today.

May we all be willing to be obedient literally to the all of the Commandments and all of the Scriptures – that the Atonement of the Savior Jesus Christ was literal and effective for all of us – whether we choose to believe it or not. As the dress maker or the architect we can draw up the plans – visualizing what can someday be – the Father has drawn up the Plan of Salvation – we all were there – we approved of the Plan. Thus, only we can choose to become like the Father and the Son – and thus we’ve been commanded to do so in fulfillment of the Plan of Salvation and the results attendant to it and eternal life!

Over the past several decades I’ve had multiple conversations and questions to answer on why only one (1) church and not many – and why the leaders of this Church must be called by revelation. Without purse or script for the Prophet’s and Apostles. Recently I was asked why I use the terminology ‘paid clergy’ versus the Church where there is no paid clergy. Also the difference between going to college, seminary, universities or on-line licenses to preach the Gospel for almost every church in the world – while The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have no such program and all of the Priesthood leadership is called by revelation. Further the question of continued revelation and no man-(woman) made creed(s) being needed. Lastly the idea of two good men or women who’ve a belief in Heavenly Father and His Son our Savior Jesus Christ – live good lives – choose righteously – good over evil and are found in the service of their fellowmen(women) without remunerations. to this list of questions and thoughts I’ve addressed the below to answering – not in any specific order – but in general.

First, the biggest difference between the Restored Church and all others is no one strives to become a leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – there is no school or academy or university one can attend – these are callings from the Lord and his representatives on this earth today – like it was in the Primitive Church. No one seeks these or any callings – but all serve willingly and to the best of their abilities to the positions to which they’re called. If anyone thinks there is prestige or anything like such in the Kingdom of God – they’re sadly mistaken. There’s the respect but mostly there’s the never ending work involved (in addition to doing their normal daily work for their living). You will find firemen, policemen, farmers, teachers, bankers, hospital employees, military officer and enlisted holding any number of leadership positions throughout the world serving in these callings.

Further, there is no paid clergy anywhere in the Church – no Branch President – Quorum Leader – Bishop – Stake President – General Authority – Apostle or Prophet is paid. No Relief Society President – no Organist – no Sunday School President – no one anywhere with a calling is paid anything. The only persons paid in the Church are those who’ve jobs and have been hired to attend to them – Custodial – Secretarial – and so on – but these are all hired by the Church! All of the privately owned businesses of the Church – employ and pay their full share of taxes – bottling companies – farms – etc.

To sidetrack for a moment – over the past almost 200 years Joseph Smith, Jr. has had more material written about him of a negative nature than any other person in the history of these 200 years. There are more books (over 10,000+)– written about him while only 1500+ written about George Washington. These books, magazine, pamphlets demean him, calling him a liar – etc. attacking him over and over again. At this point some show no new creativity but just rearrange the words of others. During his life he enjoyed no peace from the time of his first vision with the Father and the Son. He was hounded, ridiculed, tarred and feathered, beaten, shot at, illegally imprisoned for long periods of time and eventually murdered by the same troops which were supposed to protect him. Those who were members of the Church were beaten – had their homes burned – some murdered – women raped and killed – small babies killed next to their mothers/fathers – all done by the members of the communities where they lived with no (not any) protection of the laws of the United States, the Constitution or the laws of the states wherein they resided. They were forced from place to place until the were forced finally from the US fully. Then when the US came to where they’d settled it appeared to start all over again – but instead this time it was done in courts and congress by those who acted corruptly.

The reason for this sidetrack is to ask one simple question – ‘Why didn’t they all just deny their beliefs – visions – revelations?’ If they had they would’ve been left in relative peace. Not only didn’t they deny their beliefs but more and more people from all over the world joined their ranks – knowing what was waiting for them when they did so. Isn’t this rather strange behavior for what Charles Dickens called the cream of the crop of the British Isles? He in addition said, “What they do is most commendable – what they say is utter nonsense.” Some did deny their testimonies – some left the Church – including some of those who never denied their testimony of seeing and holding the Golden Plates – talking and meeting with an Angel of God, etc. (Eight of the thirteen witnesses left the Church – none ever once denied their testimony and all on their deathbeds reaffirmed their testimony.) Those who did not deny their testimonies – moved with the Saints finally to the Rocky Mountains – acted such because what they knew was true – and they knew it and could not deny it no matter how severe the punishments. (For any historians – this was the exact same behavior of the Primitive Church when being persecuted by the Romans, the Jews, and by all other religions through and until even today. The Restoration of the Church in 1830 caused a rancor among the churches of the day and has continued even until today in their sermons and literature. Men/women, media praised those who committed the crimes against the Saints in the 1800’s and lauded the murderers of Joseph Smith, Jr. with front page headlines.

Today the Prophet Thomas S. Monson and other leaders of the Church live in an environment of a constant threat to their lives. Anyone can attack a person either with words or articles – stones – guns – tar and feathers, however, not one person anywhere has ever successfully attacked the Doctrine of the Church – no has ever proved there were no plates – or that Joseph Smith, Jr. did not translate them. No one has ever proved he didn’t have visions – or that there is continued revelation today.
End of sidetrack!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple – straight-forward and adheres to no creed of men/women – makes common sense – and has been restored in its fulness in these later-days. Everyone who repeats the “Lord’s Prayer” seeks the coming of the Kingdom of God – yet fail to comprehend that this has already taken place. The Savior will or could not come to earth to reign if the Kingdom had not been already restored.

One needs only to read the literal Bible – to know what and how things would take place and what they would look like. Sadly with all of the various translations, changes, transmissions, omissions, political changes, etc. one must strive to find one closest to the original Greek, German, Hebrew or Latin version – which would lead them to the Tyndale Bible – or something in the KJV about 1759. Most edited after the late 1880’s started the interpretation to what one’s creed stated rather than to what was originally written. But even the most skewed of the revised Bibles contain the basic truths of the literal Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Let’s understand at one time there were over 3400+ books or texts of the Bible. Remembering also that the word Bible – comes from Bibliography (or collection of books) and that prior to the 1300-1500’s there was no Bible – just Scriptures! The earliest keepers of the record were changing and deleting from the Scriptures before the birth of the Savior and none have stopped since the Savior’s birth. By the 2nd to 4th Century those who were responsible for the Scriptures turned complete to neo-Platonism and have never deviated since that time.

Peter in a letter to James – asked what would happen after he were dead – if while he was living many were changing what he’d said.

If the Church as organized by the Savior is to be upon the earth today it HAS TO BE LED by a PROPHET!! It must have Apostles!! It must have continued REVELATIONS.

A simple question to all of those who say there is no more revelation – or visions – or needed Scripture – how would they know this without continued Revelations?

There is one Baptism – one Church – one God – and one Way. God is not a God of confusion – distraction – contention – but the same yesterday – today and forever.

No other church in the world believes the Bible literally (as translated correctly) – no other creed/church teaches of the resurrection of the physical body – that families can be reunited (together forever to procreate) – no other church teaches that man can be as God is – and that God was once as man is (one need only to read Genesis). No other church teaches that we’re in the literal image of the Father and the Son –and these are two separate individuals with both having physical bodies of flesh and bone!

My friends I persist in sharing this with you because I know how much you love your families and they love you and you need to know whatever sealing you have is valid only on this earth as your minister has their authority from either a school or state/federal government. (Note: Many clergy are now not adding the divorce decree – ‘Till Death do you Part’ in their marriage ceremonies – but sadly they can add nothing of an authoritive nature in its place.) Going to the Temple of the Lord is the only place on this earth were two people can be sealed as husband and wife (with children) forever and ever as a family – eternally.

There is no attacking intended in this short essay – none – just the simple statement of factual information – anyone can read the various creeds of men/women. Also anyone can read the Holy Bible for themselves and understand what I’ve written is true. There was no paid clergy in the time of the Savior – in his Church!! There is no paid clergy today in His Church. There was continued revelation and visions in the primitive Church – the same as today in the Restored Church. Much can be discerned when one reads the Scriptures with a clear and open mind – while where a closed mind is found – not much can be discerned or learned.

Now to the statement of the two equally clean and strong of faith. Both have choices to make – to discern if the Church has been restored or not. If by family tradition, or the influences of the time or if being alive when the Church was not yet upon the earth – is unable to discern the answer as to whether the Church is here or not. Two good men/women will be treated based on their knowledge and what they did with it – those who’ve never heard the Gospel taught (or the Church wasn’t on the earth in their lifetime) will hear the Gospel during the millennial period (all will hear the Gospel either during their lifetime in mortality or afterwards). Each will be judged on what they did – right and wrong – good or bad, etc. All of those who’ve committed the unpardonable sin ‘denying the Holy Ghost’ will go to outer darkness. All others will go to one of the many Kingdoms which have been prepared for them. Yes some of these may also end up in outer darkness.

We know from Paul there are at least three main Kingdoms. Terrestrial, Telestial and Celestial. The most righteous will go to the Celestial – and of these those who’ve been Sealed for Time and all Eternity will enter into the presence of the Father and the Son as an eternal family. Remember in John it states – whatever is sealed on earth will be sealed in heaven and whatever is not sealed on earth will not be sealed in heaven. (Note: for those who’ve been sealed on earth in the Temple of the Lord have to remain worthy to all of the covenants, etc. to gain this Kingdom.)

Many believe in God – but to love Him is to keep his commandments and to return to Him is to know him!! Heavenly Father needs to be known – the Son (our Savior) teaches us about Him in the Scriptures. The Savior needs to be known! As Stephen when he was about to be stoned indicated – ‘behold the heavens opened and he beheld Jesus standing on the right hand of the Father.’

All men and women who’ve lived upon this earth will be judged individually at the bar of the Savior. The Apostles will be there – those from both the Primitive Church – the Restored Church, The Nephite Church, and all of the various Prophet’s from the beginning of time until the end of our mortality on this earth. Justice and Mercy will both be served. One must recognize that Satan will also be their trying to claim his which he’s converted to follow him while in their mortality.

Now comes the final chapter – whether one believes in worldly churches or not – whether one ever hears the Gospel or not – whether one is good or evil or not – all will be judged. Those who never heard the Gospel will be taught the Gospel (much as the Savior did after the crucifixion to those detained in Paradise or where those who died since the great flood dwelled and waited).

The idea that all will go to heaven – as if it is only one place – and or go to hell as if it is another – is manmade theology. All men/women/children and living things upon this earth were ‘saved’ as a result of the Atonement of the Savior for our sins. None will be neglected or lost as to being saved. However, what one does with the knowledge available to them while living will make part of Justice/Mercy balance come into play on where they’ll reside eternally (and how).

God is a just God – man/woman are very unjust in deciding for the Savior what will happen to some and something different for others via heaven or hell. Thus those who proclaim everyone is going to Hell (including the Mormons - smile) if they don’t adhere to this creed or that one – is flat out not doctrine according to the Scriptures. It is instead false theology and very bad doctrine. Nowhere is it found in the teachings of the Savior, The Prophet’s or the Apostles (living or dead).

All men/women are and were saved by the Atonement! After this it will be by what they did or didn’t do while in mortality which will make the differences. You need not join any church to have the benefit of the Atonement in your life! You need only be good – in the service of others – make correct choices of right and wrong and never violate any of the Ten Commandments. Whereas if one joins a Church without doing all of their homework – then in some ways their next life is totally dependent on the teachings and creeds of that church. However, having said this one does need to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in order to receive the Temple Blessings – the Covenants and Ordinances of the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ if it is indeed the Restored Church as I testify that it is – in the name of Jesus Christ – amen - cji/ork.

and need no more
full truth is unneeded
just enough will do
then being good is all

acknowledging a code

“Ultimately” cji 3/28/11 Many almost uncountable emails flow in and out of our email folders. Most of late are dealing with ‘signs of the times’ and other such Gospel subjects. Many if not most allude to the extremes in nature and men/women’s behaviors. Some promise ‘miracles’ if you but pass on the email within 8 minutes to 8 friends, etc. What’s missing is the logical truth of the Scriptures. Lacking is the reality of what is really being presented and taken over by one or many think should be taken out of context. Let’s be very sure even as maligned as the Scriptures are today from when they were first written or better spoken and recorded there is still enough truth remaining that anyone can discern what is meant without the need of professional clergy, clerics, etc. to explain it to them. The particular subject of this most recent email was talking of ‘untimely deaths’ and linking them to statements made by both famous and infamous people prior to their deaths about the Savior, God or the Lord. Yet in being honest what death is not untimely to a loved one? Death is an everyday occurrence – happened everywhere in the world to those who know anything of the Savior, God or the Lord and to those who do not. Every day it would be guessed by the media, follywood, TV, radio, and among those who’re proclaiming themselves the most righteous the Savior’s name is used in vain. In some malls and on the streets this is so common that one might be without feeling upon hearing and then ignoring. Books, paperbacks, tabloids, and all other communicational material are replete with such abuses. Yet we don’t see authors, writers, singers, producers all having untimely deaths. Or do we see the average person on the street, golf course, arena for sports, etc. just having an untimely death. Therefore those who present such ‘spectacular’ emails – are actually quoting exceptions to the rule rather than any fulfillment to their quoted texts. It is for sure that from initial apostates that there would be much concern about all of the Scriptures, but yet the inverse of this is true! Instead of finding these apostate teachings abhorrent – most readily accept them in preference to the Holy Bible and other Scriptures. The Creeds of men/women which are far reaching in neo-Platonism and Greek Mythology are the most accepted of all religious beliefs found upon the world today. These have both become reality and traditions from which modern men and women will not break – and would rather enjoin among their peers self-delusion rather than see divine truths. Therefore one would guess there are many from about the 2nd Century on who should be worried about this – one might think of Rome, Spain, England – and in the 1800’s much of those in power in America. Since the beginning of the 20th Century most of the world doesn’t understand what they’re facing – as for the most part the Ten Commandments are all but forgotten – even by very good people – when one looks at the arena’s – golf courses – sailing yachts – lakes – eating places – stores, etc. Mowing lawns and doing other jobs and thus not keeping the Sabbath Day holy. It would seem when St. Augustine authorized the slaughtering of the remaining ‘primitive Christians’ that he fully succeeded in fully destroying the Church as established by the Savior – and this has lasted until this day with many who proclaim to be Christian! Sadly, most who profess a belief in the Father and the Son – yet reject their living Prophets and those dead as well see nothing wrong in doing such. While rewriting or ignoring what the Prophets have and do write for that which man/woman have changed and interpreted they fully confirm the creeds of men/women instead. There are now over some 4000 different variations of the Bible (almost all since the late 1800’s) – even with what’s left in context seems to be either ignored or changed into rhetoric. That the Holy Bible is missing some 3400 books – seems not to bother anyone who proclaims that the Bible – is complete and there is no more need of any revelations, Apostles, Prophets, etc. is no different than those who crucified the Savior and stoned the Prophets. Indeed in the 1800’s Prophets and Apostles were murdered, imprisoned and those who were their followers were given an extermination order by the governor of Missouri and also by Illinois. While this was happening newspapers and clergy from their pulpits were steadily proclaiming this extermination, murders and other defilement of the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints their just due. Some went so far as to honor the mobs who committed rape, murder and burnings to be heroes of the Christian world. To be noted there were no crimes committed by those known as latter-day saints other than to profess a belief that the Holy Bible was literally true – and that the Church of the Savior was once more restored as proclaimed by the Prophet’s and Apostles of old and most directly by the Savior. Yes all who’ve a mortal body or lived in mortality will be saved (everyone) and will experience death untimely (by their loved ones – if not themselves). Thus knowing all are to be saved – whether of some 3rd world nation which has never heard of the Savior or of some grand church is true! Therefore none will be lost to the hearing of the Gospel being taught to them during the thousand year millennium. All will receive it the same as if they had heard it during their own lifetimes. Thus those who are alive now – hear the Gospel taught in its fullness and yet reject it will have already made their choice. They will have their reward – whatever it is that they’ve earned by their faith and their works. It is through the Grace of God that all will be saved and again enjoin both body and spirit – but this is only the beginning for each individual. To accept the Atonement – one must also now endure and do all that they can do to further the Kingdom of God on this earth. For this to happen in these latter-days one must also understand that the Kingdom of God has to have been returned in its fullness to this earth. The Savior cannot return to his kingdom if it is not here. Most who recite the ‘Lord’s Prayer’ continually plead for ‘His Kingdom Come’ – while in stark reality it’s now here once more in its fullness. There’s a Prophet at the head and Apostles which lead this Church and receive divine revelations for the good of those now alive and living on this earth. Most reject this premise that the Church has been destroyed and are more than willing to accept the decrees of men/women who tell them the heavens are closed and that there is no life after death similar to what we know today. They deny the literalness of the Holy Bible, indeed many change what was once written and in exchange use so called modern language to make it more understandable – thus further denying the wisdom of an all knowing and loving Father in Heaven. One would ask why? If one would have the answer to this – one must ask them. Better I would suggest that one go to the Scriptures and read and ponder them – remembering in James 1:5 – one who lacks wisdom – need only ask having faith. It would be wise then to read, ponder, research, and then after doing all one can do – then to approach the Father with their enquiries – and not go with their minds already made up. Why is all of this important? Most clergy will teach that it doesn’t matter which church you attend (except the one discussed above) but that you say you believe. Yet this negates the teachings of Paul and to which Kingdom or to which degree of Glory – or where – even those assigned to outer darkness will go. Most simply teach the good will all go to heaven and all others (even those who’ve never heard the Gospel) will go to Hell. Rather extreme depending on what one decides is good and or bad – where will be the dividing line? And it would make it most unfair for those who’ve never heard of the Savior to be assigned to Hell. Simply for one to proclaim they’re saved is rather arbitrary deciding point – as the Savior has taught that all men/women are redeemed by the atonement. What part of ‘all’ is not to be understood? Therefore in summary, even those who’ve never heard of Jesus Christ will be saved – as those who’ve turned away from or accepted the false teaching or altered teachings of those who’re paid to be in the ministry, clergy, evangelists, tv personalities, etc. One need simply to read the Bible on their own (which almost none ever do – the 1769 King James is most closely to what Tyndale’s translated) – to understand what they’re to be about and what His Church would look like in the latter-days when once more restored to this Earth. This restoration has to have happened before His 2nd coming. Most in their offering of the Lord’s Prayer – enquire, “Thy Kingdom Come” – which again has to be here for Him to return to His Kingdom – fail to realize that this has already happened! Once more there are Prophet’s and Apostles upon this earth and the Savior’s Church is again on this earth. Sadly – from the pulpit every Sunday – Saturday – or any day of the week – what is written here is considered blasphemy by those who’re paid and supported by convincing their ‘sheep’ to their theology which is neo-Platonism and fully from the Greek Schools – which were mostly schools of rhetoric. This is hard teachings – hard words – but nothing less than what is taught in the Holy Bible if one were to read it fully on their own. One must remember we’ve each agency to either be obedient to the Commandments of God – or to not be found so. Thus we conclude with the Savior’s teachings: John 14:15 15 ¶If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 15:10 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. Matthew 16:4 · 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. Matthew 16:27 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. May we each be found in simple obedience – learning to recognize the voice of the Lord through the Scriptures (and not another’s interpretation) – that we might come to know both the Father and the Son – to return to them one day – having done all commanded with a willing heart. "Warriors" (short essay)

In discussions with many - there the continuing need to pray for our soldiers involved in the various conflicts in this world. Most don't debate fully why there is a need for these warriors - but that we must pray for them. One would guess those on the other side are also praying for their soldiers/warriors. And thus throughout all of the history of men/women in this mortal probation are found fighting and being warriors of lost causes - dominion - dictatorships - kings - queens - pope's - clerics - and the list is unending.

However, only in the Scriptures do we find that for which one should be fighting for and be willing to give their lives - and that is for the Full Gospel of Jesus Christ and none other. That every nation (all men and women - over the age of 8 years old and having the mental capacity to understand) shall hear the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ - be able to acknowledge their wrong doings - repent - be Baptized by one having the proper authority by immersion and then to be Baptized by fire or to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Most overlook this simple truth found in the Scriptures - believing any baptism will suffice and any gospel suffice.

In the world modern day Soldiers/Warriors are lost due to the greed and avarice of men/women - governments and non-governments. This is because these who've the power to force/guile/pay others to fight - choose not to live by the law of the Father and the Son! Men/women would rather joust for power, wealth, fame and anything which belongs to another than to seek to live in peace - sharing with all - serving with all - as this is not the Will of Satan. Most are led astray by the simple words, 'it matters not whether there's one church or many - or none at all - all will either go to heaven or hell' and it's all arbitrary. One must always understand every single individual will be judged for their beliefs and actions and not by any other.

A friend has suggested as follows, "Warriors (potential) then resist, seek Canada and we remake Viet Nam era failure." This will not and never has worked as the work of war continues always as the Prophet's of the Old and New Testament - and the Book of Mormon have testified and of those living Prophet's today continue to do so.

While thinking and pondering on this there is a fact that in some nations the warriors cannot resist!

We're all warriors - either to serve Heavenly Father and his Son! Or to serve others of this world. Those who fight for the Father and the Son do so to uphold the Constitution (a divinely inspired document) - protect their families - defend the weak and to do the Will of the Father! Most don't know or understand any of this. Running away in the current and ongoing battle which began in the pre-existence has been the cause of the battle continuing and will continue till the Savior comes down to rule His Kingdom for the Thousand Years and then there will be one last battle. This is an unending war/battle - the field is fluid and everywhere all of the time - there is no place to run and hide.

Those who continue to think only in worldly terms - don't understand the Scriptures literally. Which again is part and parcel of the continuing battle which mostly pits evil against more evil with these two combining to fight against all pure truth. The collateral damage is to deny many their normal human rights - to include worship - food - clothing - housing, etc. China has a definition for this called, "Unrestricted Warfare" - if China can keep everyone fighting - everywhere - at all times - then in the end they'll become King of the Mountain - i.e. #1.

We've to understand this earth is simply a probationary state of affairs. Either we learn to do the Will of the Father or we don't. For those who don't there are various degrees of where they'll ultimately spend the eternities. Some who commit murder (shedding of innocent blood) or deny the Gift of the Holy Ghost (having once received by those holding the keys and authority from Heavenly Father) shall end in outer darkness. For all of the rest they'll either be somewhere in the Telestial - Terrestrial - or Celestial Kingdoms. For those who've kept all of the Commandments - Laws and Statutes of the Father and the Son - found worthy and having been Sealed in the House of the Lord (having it available to them during their mortal probations) will be in the Highest Degree of Glory with the Father and the Son and their families eternally - continuing to grow and procreate.

For those who are worthy who've never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness they'll have that opportunity during the 1000 years after the Savior returns to rule his Kingdom here on this earth. They will accept or reject the same as if they heard it in their lifetimes. In addition, all of the work for the dead will be accomplished during this 1000 years.

For those who've been obedient in all things and had the opportunity to have gone to House of the Lord (Temple) but did not go - they will not attain the highest degree of glory in the Celestial Kingdom (this is in the Scriptures).

Every woman and man who've lived on this earth will be judged according to their faith and their works as they've exercised them.

Thus we're all warriors - the war and battles have been ongoing since Satan rebelled in the Pre-Existence. Which side or whether one claims to be neutral will matter! There's only one winning side and that's the Father's and his Son. Anything else is to lose - if not all then some. Of course for Satan this is winning - he doesn't care if one professes to be saved or believes or whatever - just so long as they don't ever accept the Scriptures as being literally true - and that revelations and Prophets no longer exist. He doesn't care how many churches there are - or how many ministers, preachers, rabbi's, priests, clerics or whatever they choose to be called - as long as they are not called by the Father and the Son. He cares not what ordinances of the Gospel they say they've authority to perform as long as it is not in the House of the Lord (Temple) and of the authority of the Father and the Son.

In reality Satan doesn't care what anyone believes or doesn't believe as long as they don't join the Saviors Restored Church in these latter-days. That the people don't believe there's a Prophet again on this earth - or that there are 12 Apostles - called and ordained by those having authority to act in the name of the Father and the Son.

Yes we're all warriors - but going to Canada or anywhere else will not matter - what will matter is if we understand the war/battles - and where we've chosen to place our faith and our works. There will be no justification or saying any church will get you there - it didn't in the days of Adam, Abraham, Noah, Enoch, Moses, the Savior or today.
There is only one true Church - there can be none others - for God is an unchanging God - without confusion or contention. Regardless what men/women choose to believe or teach - there is only one truth - it's White - (there is no gray in this equation) - and if any choose to believe this is gray they are wrong.

Hard words - yes to an unbelieving world - or one which only feigns belief. But these are wonderful and comforting words to those who choose to ask the Father and the Son - as directed by the Prophet's especially James - to know the truth of all things. Sadly - what the world teaches is so convincing - so traditional - so justifying - that one cannot change the way they think - unless they're really and absolutely seeking the truth of all things.

“What really is Ignorance and Why is it so Vast?”

Was asked the following question in a recent correspondence:

“How can any sane person not see Islam for what it is, what it must do as dictated by its doctrine and the horror that it will visit on the non-Muslim (not just Christian) world?”

This question has given me pause to consider what is the real question facing our world today. Not just those living in the United States but throughout the world as a whole. Yes, we must consider that many within the world live in abject poverty and just their daily survival would preclude them in such a discussion, if it were not for the fact that this same group of persons enables those who lust for power and dominion over the whole world. Thus maybe as many as three-quarters of the world’s population is deliberately kept in such a condition as to be forced laborers in the world of darkness and ignorance, in the pursuit of another’s goals. Included in this group must be considered those who dwell in the large urban sprawl called the inter-cities of the United States and other non-third world nations.

One could then say, “Ignorance is a tool of those seeking power and dominion over all others to achieve their personal goals without regard to any morals, virtue, honesty, truths and righteousness.” Further, ignorance entitles those with specific goals without any regard to personal lives or human rights. Freedom therefore is only the excuse to condone what one does to subject another to their will in their quest for power and dominion and when no longer needed is done away with. They replace this freedom of which they used with a system of total control and obedience to what they declare to be law. Of which the punishment is usually found in the form of torture and death.

To continue this thought – what causes ignorance is anything that is not uplifting or edifying in the truth of the Father and the Son – but leads one to confusion, darkness and contention. Many times what is known as the wisdom of man or logismoi – is found to be without merit, confusing, darkness instead of light and leading all who believe such into contention. Thus there is another group who dwell in ignorance in addition to the three-quarters of the world’s population surviving at the bare subsistence level – which consider themselves educated, liberated and the elite of their societies. Blinded within the wisdom of man – selling their eternities for the glories of the wealth of the worldly today – they profess to be so smart as to not need any religion of literal truth as found in the Scriptures – but have enough as provided by Plato or the philosophers and their paid teachers of wisdom (or logismoi).

One can see if what is written above is accurate then much of the world, i.e. the overwhelming majority deal in a world dominated by greed, lust, power, wealth, lying, deceit, guile, murder, war, rapine, violence, revenge and passing judgment on others who disagree with them or their beliefs. Now let’s be clear that so many choose to live this way is their choice – for all men/women have agency to do what they want. In doing this by our choices we also accept the responsibility and accountability for what we will find after this life. For the vast majority they believe in nothing – i.e. Creatio ex Niliho. Therefore having come from nothing they will return to nothing. Some believe there’ll be something after this life but it is quite vague and all will be treated equally – i.e. the same rewards for everyone. And the various beliefs continue in slight different thoughts but basically what one says is more important than what one does.

When dealing with ignorance one must adjust their thinking to what is known and what can be known and what should be known. Sadly, history of the past seven thousand plus years has shown in writings and other records most just don’t care, i.e. apathy. As long as their basic needs are met – lusts satisfied, all is well in their worlds. Peer pressure and being accepted is more important even in the lowest of circumstances than what one could become or learn.

The world works very hard at delivering to the majority’s satisfactions – music, news, novels, TV and movies all degenerate to the lowest common denominator. The toys for children, games for adults, what’s taught in the schools have one desired goal – teaching average or below skills are okay for all – with the exception of the elite of each society. Laws or the land, The Constitution, The Bill of Rights and indeed any decency is mocked and ridiculed. Prayer and the Ten Commandments are totally discarded or used in such a way as to deny any knowledge of order or literal content of the Holy Bible. Whereas one will fight to the death to defend the doing of whatever anyone wants (i.e. saying their agency allows this) - they will quickly condemn those who choose differently from them as being fools and/or crazy. In fact they will murder, accuse falsely, exile, burn and pillage such as these who are found amongst them.

(Note: From this point forward will be dealing mostly with what is happening in the United States of America.)

What does this above have to do with the question from my friend, everything. Above the word ‘apathy’ was used. The worldly and the world have been taught to be apathetic – to just not care! Either they’re to be found politically correct or to stay non-involved. When younger we used to have the three monkeys; see no evil, hear no evil and say no evil. The world today is found to be in such a condition where evil and its brothers/sisters are found to dwell. As a matter of fact evil is glorified – worshipped and given a form of acceptance to which righteous is not. It is okay to be evil – or non-committed but it is wrong to be righteous or truthful.

In the world today we find a major government under the name of Islam trying to overthrow the entire known world – either by murder and destruction or with the threat of death if one chooses not to join them. Indeed, China has also the same goal but openly admit that they intend to this by continued warfare – nation against nation – until none are left except China. Thus Islam is actually funded in part by China as are all rebellions everywhere in the world today. Islam and China are playing the Chinese game of ‘Go!’ While China knows there is only one board – Islam at present is using many boards.

Islam has declared Jihad on the whole world – with the major adversary (or devil) being the United States of America. The USA stands in the way of both Islam and China in achieving total victory in the world today. It is the only nation with complete freedoms built into the fabric of the nation. Whereas most other nations of the world are already submitting to the whims of those preaching Jihad – the US still has the power to resist. However, if the US can continue to resist the destruction of the Constitution their allies will resist also. When the US loses its freedoms of self rule – the Constitution – and becomes socialized – then Islam and/or China will just step in and take over without a fight.

Most Americans happily don’t care – they’ve their street gangs – football – music – movies – TV – dime store novels – and generally live a life-style even among the poorest which is higher than the rest of the known world – and still want more and more without having to do anything to get more – except complain expecting bigger government will provide for all their wants and needs. Those who teach in the educational system teach what’s wrong with America and not what is right. The negatives being taught become pervasive and engrained into a lifestyle which just doesn’t care. The family is being destroyed – the music and movie industry are working overtime to accomplish this one goal – to do away with family values. Abuse, filth, infidelity, ridicule – especially of adult role models - replacing with role models of evil, half-truths and the big lie, “everyone is doing it.”

Islam is given a free ride by our government – illegal immigrants are given a free ride by our government – and criminals are given more rights than the general public (one need only to look at those in government positions who by their own admission have violated the laws that they wrote. Racial profiling is unlawful – and therefore one cannot look at the cause of terrorism – but only to warn those not involved to avoid certain areas. Our government seeks to go to the UN against states within the United States in complete violation of the Constitution and actually seeks to do away with the Law of the Land – the Constitution. Islam and China rub their hands in anticipation of the day when the American Government will disarm all of its citizens.

In the United States of America – the government has engendered a fear of punishment against anyone who would speak against Islam or any other gang or group advocating the overthrow of the Constitution or the United States which is one and the same. Those who speak up for the rights of Americans – the Constitution – or otherwise disagree with our government are condemned as racists and terrorists. The media/press/follywood follow after the government presenting lies (using guile) and labeling Americans as the enemy and not as the protectors of freedom.

In answer to my friend’s question, “How can any sane person not see Islam for what it is, what it must do as dictated by its doctrine and the horror that it will visit on the non-Muslim (not just Christian) world?” one would have to be constrained to make it as simple as, “They’ve all been taught as the three monkeys – see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.” Apathy and fear lead the way in accomplishing the ignorance of those who just do want to believe truth when they either read it or hear it or see it. Within the US these are the same who drove people out of the US for having different beliefs than the majority did – this is the same people who watched other murder, rape, steal, burn, falsely imprison and otherwise accuse those who did not believe as they did. These are the same people led by the media, ministers/priests/governors/judges who sought the extermination of people who did not believe as they did. These are the same people who turn the other way when seeing a crime committed – or laugh when seeing someone being ridiculed – or join in when foul language and off-colored jokes are being said in public. These are the same people who have been taught just not to care – watch out for number one – take what you can get away with – not to edify or uplift – and there are no Ten Commandments and the Constitution is outdated anyway.

The picture most see is so crowded – overloaded – confusing – that most in frustration just turn away saying, “I can do nothing!” This is what Islam and China wants to happen and also it would appear that our government wants us to do as well. Those in the inter-cities and urban areas – where it only takes 22 urban areas in the US to elect a President and most control their Senators as well – will continue to keep people on the dole and as their minions and servants.

Ignorance is an adoptive behavior – one can if they’ve the will teach themselves to read in the US – they can go to public library and uplift and edify themselves. No one is born ignorant! Then why is it so vast? It is so vast in the US because the world/worldly have presented an alternative which requires most to do nothing – and still have their basic needs met. The welfare system if used can afford many a better lifestyle than those who actually work for a living. The cheating in the system and abuses within the administration would make a mafia don smile. The abuses which have been found out about ACORN and other government agencies – or beneficiaries of government bailouts/handouts have done nothing more than to put the US at greater risk. This vast pool of ignorance is leading this nation into debt from which it will take decades to dig out of – if this government survives and endures.

(Author’s note: I know that this nation will survive until the Second Coming of the Savior – for this Government is Divinely Inspired from its inception.)

Having written all of the above it should be pointed out there are some with more gaining understanding which are fighting against this ignorance within our nation. They understand what is taking place and why. They know what steps have to be taken to stop both Islam and China from destroying our freedoms and Constitution. Not all are ignorant – and those who are not will put up a great effort to protect those who are from both themselves and to preserve others. One must remember those who control the media/press/follywood have the greater stage for their presentations – they are doing so with mirrors and bright lights – and without truth or substance eventually as a home without a foundation cannot stand – neither will their lies, deceit or actions to otherwise destroy our Constitution or the Ten Commandments.

There is nothing in this which intended to be politically correct – this was not the intent of my answer. To be politically correct one has to try to please and thus not to uplift or edify. One must clearly understand the terrorists and those declaring Jihad are using the name of Islam – and therefore they include all adherents to this form of government and laws as being part and parcel of their cause. Mohammed never taught such rubbish as is being taught today by those claiming to call him their Prophet. One can claim to be anything they want – call themselves anything they want – but in doing so they also have to accept the creeds or requirements as applying to them as well. Many call themselves by various religions of men – and thus by doing so have to subscribe to the creeds of men in doing so. One may call them self a Christian – but if they believe not the Scriptures literally they then are not following the Savior or His Father who sent him but indeed following after men and their logismoi. Yet when one calls him/her self as a Muslim or a follower of Islam they are committing to total allegiance to whatever the clerics tell them to do or believe. They can have no other allegiance – not to the US, England, Australia – none at all.

Similarly, to be a Christian is to only say that one believes in the creeds of men/women; while the Dictionaries describe a Christian as one who believes in Jesus as the Christ. Yet, in the Scriptures if one truly believes that Jesus is the Christ – then in a literal sense they must believe the Scriptures literally – be found in total compliance with the Ten Commandments and to worship no other Gods except He who sent me! Yet, we know that this is not the case by any of the major religions of the world and of men/women. There is no allegiance to anyone or anything – but possibly to the creeds. It must be understood a belief system is a way of life – and thus to be politically correct is very dangerous to one’s eternity which will follow this life.

We’ve to remember when one identifies with Islam – saying such things as, “I am one of them,” that’s what they are committing to regardless of whatever else they might claim or proclaim. When one is a head of state – this state and those people under such rule must understand there is no allegiance to them or their state by this person.

Further, one must understand in terrorism or the game of ‘Go’ there are no rules to be followed – no rights or wrongs – no goods or evils – no lies or truth – but only to win and destroy all others in doing so! Why then is ignorance the state religion found – because with such a religion – this way of life – others maintain and increase their dominion over those who practice such adopted behavior.

Fighting ignorance starts within the home, the family unit and fully understanding the Scriptures. Otherwise one breeds on the ignorance of those who proclaim the logismoi of governments, radicals, racists, terrorists and those who would control others by force, fear or incentives. Ignorance is adoptive – it comes from without as an alternative to knowing what one should know and covenanted to learn before coming to this earth for their mortal probation. Most find this too difficult to do – and therefore allow others to define learning for them. Sadly, most will always be this way – for it’s the way of the world/worldly – and Islam, men/women’s Christianity and China are counting on – advertising for – and paying to have it happen. c/ork

Holy Melchizedek Priesthood Blessings for the Sick

“Ordinances of administration with actual healings there- from are one of the evidences of the divinity of the Lord’s work. Where these are, there is God’s kingdom; where these are not, there God’s kingdom is not.” Bruce R. McConkie

Today I wish discuss a very sensitive topic with complete aspiration to achieve edification and clarification for myself as well as others. Priesthood within this discussion will reference the Melchizedek Priesthood. This Priesthood holder is a spiritual conduit while performing these sacred blessings for the sick.

Background:
Over the years as an active church member, our personal family has experienced numerous sanctified blessings from the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood. These Priesthood Blessings have been the Administration to the Sick as well as Blessings of Comfort.

Speaking personally, surrounding circumstances administering these Priesthood blessings can sometimes be ill at ease while others can be more secure. For example, a few blessings may be needed within the middle of the night in hospitals yet other Priesthood Blessings can be administered in the comfort of homes or the Chapel. It has been my privilege to administer to small infants before either parent has been able to hold them as well as other infants at the request of grandparents who lived far away in many situations.

On one memorable occasion, one of the Brethren requested a Priesthood Blessing to promptly complete this physical state. I delicately explained that Priesthood Blessing were spiritual promptings. Within his Priesthood Blessing, he was advised by the spirit of further accomplishments yet needed in his lingering lifetime.

On the other hand, opportunity has opened to bless elderly members to release their physical body from this mortal probation. I was notified on a different occasion to administer to elderly Sister and a dear friend. As I sealed the anointing, this Blessing indicated that her beloved Robert was waiting to take her hand. Within hours, she passed away peacefully. Several days previous to this blessing this Sister had received an earlier blessing with consecrated oil.


Priesthood Administration to the Sick/ Priesthood Blessing of the Sick
First of all, a Priesthood Blessing of the Sick should only be given by a worthy Priesthood holder. As Priesthood holders, the authority is exercised through the keys delegated from the Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

A Priesthood Blessing means that if a church member is indicating a need for a spiritual blessing, or an immediate family member, the Priesthood holder is required to follow the proper guidelines of authority. He should make contact with another worthy Priesthood holder to help this church member in every way possible to get the needed blessing preformed promptly.

If unable, this Priesthood holder should contact his Quorum President to be advised how to proceed. There are times and circumstances where only one Priesthood Holder can both anoint and seal the anointing to the sick.

Unnecessary telephone questions should be avoided during this contact. Nevertheless, gathering clear information is vastly required. It is already apparent there is a need expressed. I have tried to produce a possible list of questions when a request for a Priesthood Blessing comes forth:

1. Full name of the church member;
2. Where is the person located; home, hospital, or nursing home
3. What are the needful preparations to be taken; infants in hospitals require scrubbing, wearing gloves and protective outer clothing
4. Is the person a member of the Church
5. If in a hospital, I advise to notify the department in advance so the person in charge is aware of time and of the family’s spiritual request for this priesthood ordinance. I have found this recommended procedure of notification facilitates greater ease in accomplishing the blessing.

Then again, careful inquiry if a previous priesthood blessing with the consecrated oil was recently performed; and, when.

If the answer is affirmative, to a previous Priesthood Blessing, then it is appropriate to indicate that this Priesthood Blessing will be a Priesthood Blessing of Comfort.

Nevertheless Brethren still respond expeditiously to administer a Priesthood Blessing of Comfort either by themselves or getting another to go in your stead.

Priesthood Blessing of Comfort
The Blessing of Comfort is to ease the church member from life stressors.

There are multiple circumstances for a request for a Priesthood Blessing of Comfort.
I wish to reference two specific Priesthood Blessing of Comfort situations in Church History.

The first is a Sister Sarah Pay Rich lay on her sick bed for over six weeks, totally unable to care for herself. She had a Priesthood Administration yet she was nigh onto dying when the Patriarch Joseph Smith, Sr. was contacted for a Priesthood Blessing. Elder Smith initially hesitated, and then he proceeded to explain that he was first prompted to give her a Patriarchal Blessing.

Elder Smith was prompted when giving her the Patriarchal Blessing to further bless Sister Rich that she would be healed, to stand up and live a long life. As Elder Smith finished the administration, Sister Rich rose up and she was not sick from that time forward.

The second circumstance is Phoebe Woodruff, the beloved wife of President Woodrow Woodruff. She was fought sickness for some time. Each occasion Phoebe was blessed she seemed to rebound only to begin to sink away once more. President Woodruff went to obtain medications at a nearby town and when he returned his beloved Phoebe was taking her last breath. She then died.

President Woodrow Woodruff again felt prompted to bless Phoebe once more and in this blessing he literally raised her from death. Phoebe later recounted she was watching him bless her and she was given the choice go through the veil or to return, she choose to return. It was at this time President Woodruff was prompted to command Phoebe by the Priesthood of God to arise up and become well.

Both of these cases in point are mighty examples of Priesthood Blessings of Comfort as no consecrated oil was used, only one Priesthood holder involved. Those admirable men who hold the Holy Priesthood are a worthy conduit of the Lord, to have power to act in His name.

Priesthood Blessings are intimate communication with the Lord, to convey the Lord’s will to the person requesting such a blessing. Priesthood holders must remember it is Father’s Will in all things, and trust is to be found along with worthiness, preparation and being in tune with the Spirit of God. Each of these is questions only we as Priesthood holders can answer.

Priesthood Blessing Accomplish Two Things

When a Priesthood Blessing is given it accomplishes two things. The first is the healing of the sick in the household of faith. This administration is temporal performed and is administered to those with great faith -what is hoped for as much as possible- and to those who desire to follow the Commandments of God.

The purpose of a Priesthood Blessing is that of Spiritual comfort. This is to assure the member receiving the blessing, to know of Father’s love – and of their eternal covenants – the love of family to help bridge the gap of mortal probation and enduring to the end.

President Harold B. Eyring in a conference address expressed his feelings when his father was dying a very painful death and how his father could be so calm. His father explained that he had experienced a full life with small trials. He felt certain that Father in Heaven was testing his capabilities to endure to the end in addition to be worthy to return to his presence. Thus President Harold B. Eyring understood we all must pass through the refiner’s fire – enduring well to the end.

Therefore the second purpose of a Priesthood Blessing has higher significant in many ways. Remembering that our mortal body will fade away yet our spirit will to be reunited with our body, if worthy.

Doctrine and Covenants 42:44 “And the elders of the church, two or more, shall be called, and shall pray for and lay their hands upon them in my name; and if they die they shall die unto me, and if they live they shall live unto me.” And again, Faith and Worthiness is necessary.

Conclusion

The only reason not to respond to administer to Priesthood Blessing of the Sick or Priesthood Blessing of Comfort is:
1. Illness;
2. Lack of worthiness- Priesthood holder still handles the responsibilities to prepare the way for the other Priesthood holders acting in our stead is needed although he should not comply with these sacred administrations.

Our understanding of worthiness needs to be carefully balanced. For some Priesthood holders the issue of worthiness can be challenging. We ought to prepare ourselves, to be worthy; take time to pray and fast, when time is allowable.

Above all, Priest holders need to act and act promptly. Remember contact another Priesthood holder to go in our stead, if we cannot respond to administer.

Let us be prepared:

1. Have consecrated oil easily available.
2. Read our scriptures; attend our church meetings.
3. Notify your Home Teaching families when unavailable and who to call when out of town
4. Have telephone numbers of several Priesthood holders who can assist or call late at night.

My Testimony:

A Priesthood Blessing is acting in behalf of the Lord. As His Priesthood servants, we are delegated to be prepared to represent our Lord and keep ourselves worthy. We must remember it is only through Jesus Christ that we hold our Priesthood.

One personal experience I would like to share. Experiencing preparation for a second By-Pass Heart surgery, I received a Priesthood Blessing in surgeon’s office. This surgeon was present; heard the entire contents of this blessing.

Within In this blessing not only I was blessed in addition it was indicated the hands of the surgeon would be guided to do that was needful to preserve my life. At the beginning of the surgical procedure, some difficulties occurred. However the surgeon remembering this Priesthood blessing pressed forward. In the recovery area, this surgeon reported these circumstances to my wife and my life was preserved. This experience is not an isolated experience in our family’s history.

My friends I believe I recognize the power of a Priesthood Blessing. I have experienced these Priesthood Blessings for the sick as well as Blessing of Comfort. Remember we each are on the Lord’s errand. I pray in the Holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.

"Ugly Truth - Good Truth"

(Harshness in reading is symbolic of what we’re feeling)

The Truth - can be ugly - or very fulfilling - which is why when I refer to the Truth - it's specific in nature and that from the Father and the Son. From this the discernment of what is happening in the world in which we live makes sense. The Father or the Son could've intervened at any time in the Life of the Savior to destroy the evil which was present - however, to have done so would've accomplished the Plan of the Adversary (or Satan) and deny men their agency (eternal reference).

Men and women have always had the ability on this earth and in their mortal probation to choose good or evil. That Satan and his minions made Good seem ridiculous in the eyes of men and women - and evil seem so acceptable - thus almost like a different type of okay (everyone is doing it) or even to the violations of all of the various Commandments - using the Scriptures to justify, etc. their behavior. One must remember - if the True Church of the Savior is on the Earth - then all of the other churches are wrong! During each dispensation when the True Church has been on the Earth there's always been other churches - all of which while having some truth were still wrong. That these other churches might do some good - and have good people attending them doesn't make them right - if the True Church is on the Earth.

During the Saviors time - there were many churches - and many different beliefs - and many who called themselves disciples - only stayed in the Saviors Church for a short window of time - as in all of the other dispensations - there's always been apostates (many who go off and start their own churches). Who led these other churches - Satan - for if they were indeed led by the Savior - they would've all been one Church and not many.

Evil is an ugly truth - in all of its different guises and poses. Evil truth is based on guile and deception. Yes we can see it - know it's there - but for those who choose to abide in evil - it's their choice - and only in the end will all men/women be judged by their decisions to have followed such.

However, good truth is different and more rejected than evil truth. Why, because men/women don't want to live all of the Commandments and they don't want to join the Saviors Church which requires such obedience in order to be called either a disciple or friend of the Savior. As you yourself has said you cannot accept that there is only one True Church - this doesn't mean there isn't it just means you don't know that there is or isn't. This has been true since Cain slew Able - down to our present day. However, if we're in the Last Days - and if the Father and the Son are found to have given Prophecies - then there has to be only one True Church. This Church would have to have been Restored for a live branch cannot be taken from a dead tree - and all of the Reformation churches since after the 1st Century AD - are in fact branches of a dead tree - found without Priesthood Authority - without eternal covenants and without any authority from the Father or the Son to act in their names.

Harsh - yes - emphatically YES! But never-the-less the truth. The Creeds of men supplemented revelation - priesthood authority and introduced confusion - contention and evil into the Lord's House and teachings. They changed the ordinances and the Holy Scriptures - Men took over - and at this point being led by their carnal nature - choose to follow the will of Satan and not the Father or the Son - with the sword, torture and threats of death and being forever damned for those who fought them. This continues into this day - however well disguised in some churches and openly preached in others.

All of us are lumped together in the philosophies of men/women - for thus they justify what they teach and enforce. The corrupt lawyers - judges - politicians - mayors - governors - teachers - various clergy - would never let us or anyone not be included in their reign of wickedness - and therefore will destroy any who oppose them. The media, press, TV, movies, music and other inventions of our society to steal away the thoughts and thus the hearts of men and women - and most especially our youth and children have no moral guidance to not corrupt all.

My research continues and I so far find nothing anywhere in the Scriptures which disagrees with what I've said or shared with others - and the more I learn of the Savior the more clearly I can see and understand what and why he taught what he did - and why those Apostles and Prophets teach via him - what they do.

Let us understand anyone who says that they teach in the name of the Father or the Son - is be saying such that they indeed are a Prophet or an Apostle - otherwise they are lying. And since none claim continued revelation - that the heavens are closed - and we need no more than the Bible - they have self condemned themselves. One of the sure Gifts of the Father and the Son is revelations - and that each person - can receive such for their stewardship - as a father - mother - son or daughter - man or woman - boy or girl - has always been and always will be consistent with the one True Church. To deny this - is to deny the answers to prayer - to deny the promptings of the Spirit which all men and women in mortality have or had - is to deny the Father and the Son - and their Apostles and Prophets - their teachings and thus the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Make no mistake my friends - we've much to learn and know - and each will be fully accountable and responsible for learning and thus doing all they can do to understand fully the teachings of the Father and the Son. Thus when I say - and have said - we've much to learn - and to do - and as for this world we live in - it'll only continue to get worse until the Second Coming - and the Second Coming cannot occur until the Saviors Church is Restored in its Fulness. The world says it hasn't happened yet - and there's no need for this to happen - thus denying once more the teachings of the Holy Scriptures - the Apostles - the Prophets - and most of all the Father and the Son.

One must truly read the Scriptures – especially Revelations – which is for our day – and to seek what has to happen before the Second Coming. So much is there and not being taught and that is the truth – both good and ugly. c/ork

"The Most" and a short essay

“Who Has The Most to Gain and Who Has The Most to Lose?”cji7/25/10In the eternal perspective as presenting in the Holy Scriptures we will remove from the worldly while trying to understand what the world professes to teach and to lead men/women with as to eternal life – after this mortal probation. Thus the question is stated in the eternal perspective and not just a worldly one for us to consider. The question or title comes from my years of doing analysis and trying to find the root cause of what is happening and why in the world of men/women.In these years when I’ve been doing analysis the first question which enters my mind is as follows: “Who has the most to gain or the least to lose?” This easily applies to world events – terrorism – warfare – deceit – guile – theft – and over the years there is usually been two or three suspects which come to the forefront – and lately only one or two[i]. Now as where this answer could be given as only one in the eternal perspective, that of the Adversary or Satan! For Satan has nothing to lose and everything to gain. As Satan has absolutely nothing – and never will, so what is it he can gain? Satan gains others to be even as him – miserable and without! Without salvation; without understanding (Satan did not understand in the beginning otherwise he would not have rebelled); without family or loved ones; and most importantly without ever being allowed into the presence of the Father or the Son[ii]. Thus we would find those who would follow or be worldly and deny or ignore the teachings of the Savior will become miserable here and in the hereafter. To continue the next question is as this essay is entitled, “Who has the most to gain and who has the most to lose?” If one were to study Judas Iscariot one could see the answer to this question – Judas was in the constant companionship of the Savior – right up to the time he betrayed him! Then what he went to outer darkness in committing suicide! How does this question then apply to each of us? We’ve choices here in mortality – we can choose to be obedient in all things to the given by the Savior (either by himself or his Prophets) Commandments, Laws and Statutes of the Father and the Son or we can to forfeit our agency by choosing to follow otherwise and the companionship of the world and worldly. We must understand the word ‘agency’[iii] we must clarify what exactly it is in eternal terminology. Bruce R. McConkie has written, “Agency is the ability and freedom to choose good or evil. It is an eternal principle which has existed with God from all eternity[iv].” Even in this world this is true. If one violates the laws of the land and is caught – one forfeits certain rights or privileges within that land[v]. Agency is a freedom of choice with eternal consequences for those choices. One can never have their agency taken away – however, they can give it away. Thus the declaration, “Agency is the privilege of being obedient to the Commandments, Laws or Statutes of God!” Agency and or the idea we’ve freedom of choice was what was voted on in the Pre-existence life we lived in our First Estate. There were two choices to vote for: 1) Father, I will go and thy will be done; or 2) I will go and none will be lost and the glory will be mine! For those of us in this world at this time and place we had to have voted for the first option and not the second. However, we had the choice to decide after coming here to change our point of view and decide the second choice made a better choice. Those who do this knowingly and willingly (for Satan cannot force) and therefore have chosen to acquit themselves of their earlier vote and also their agency. Earlier, we used the example of Judas Iscariot of changing his pre-mortal choice. Judas was one who had the most to gain and/or the most to lose with knowledge. We must understand Judas was not alone in turning away from the Savior – as early as the second year of the Saviors ministry many disciples were falling away as his teachings were too difficult to live in their world. Falling away is done in stages – whereas some will do it all at once – many do it by a little here and there. Questioning, murmuring, justifications, excuses or being only sometimes obedient to all they’ve covenanted to do or be or become. Another aspect of this discussion of gain or loss has been seen in the changing of the teachings – either by the Savior or his Prophets. One must remember much has been lost in the Scriptures. One needs only to read the Scriptures to see references to other writings which cannot be found – and one must remember a Prophet or Apostle only teach from the Scriptures and what they’re told to teach by the Savior or the Father through the Savior. In our day who then qualifies for the most to gain or the most to lose? We do! We’ve the choice to be fully obedient or not to what we’ve learned, read or understand within the Scriptures. For many in our world this is not even a choice as they’ve never even heard of Jesus or the Bible, Book of Mormon and other Scriptures. In addition, many have been denied under the threat of death to attempt to understand the Scriptures on their own. One finds that many of the world’s creeds have within them what will happen to those who deviate in obedience to the beliefs of their chosen religion – either by themselves or by traditions of their progenitors. In most creeds one who is not a member of their faith is doomed to everlasting damnation, etc. Some or all of men’s religions claim gifts or authority they do not have and thus have denied their followers the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Or worse have fabricated the authority which they proclaim. None of what I’m saying is new – it all can be found in the Scriptures if one takes them literally – which would seem to be the best course to follow. Why? There are two possible camps on religion in the world: 1) There is no God and therefore no religion per se’; and 2) There is a God and thus there will be His Church on this Earth. It is the second of the two, i.e. there is a God (most accept this to some degree and those who don’t shouldn’t care about those who do) and thus there will His Church on this Earth which most have a problem. Within the current world thinking that there is a God is great and acceptable. However, in the world thinking that there can only be one Church is totally unacceptable unless it is theirs and built around their creeds and scholarship. What is important is that the actions of men and women – depend on which it is to be – one Church or many churches - thus impacting their eternal agencies and progressions. One can go to the ‘burned over district[vi]’ of Upstate NY in the time frame of 1810-1820 to observe the many different churches seeking adherents – they claimed everyone should belong to a church – and it didn’t matter – yet the contentions arose between families, neighbors and friends when one joined a different sect than theirs. Much of this same contention and confusion exists today within the various groups afore mentioned in that the preaching of condemning one and exalting another continues from many pulpits. Now one must realize whenever the Lord’s Church is not found on this earth – due to the unrighteousness of men/women and the killing of the Prophets. The removal of the Melchizedek Priesthood[vii] or the higher Priesthood which has been present in all seven of the Dispensations where The Church of Jesus Christ has been present on this earth (including today) is also missing. Further, the presence of the Holy Ghost as a constant companion is also missing! Wherein when these two (the Priesthood and Holy Ghost) are missing men/women are left to their own devices, teachings, and understandings. When the Priesthood or the absence of the Holy Ghost occurs most frequently there is a return to the teachings of the schools – Platonism and Neo-Platonism since the days of the Greek Philosophers and Plato. Plato[viii], who was born shortly after or during the time of the last Prophet in the Eastern or Old World – Malachi[ix] about 420BC, took over the gap left without a Prophet in their world. Satan or the adversary never misses the chance to change, alter, reform, and beguile those who’ve rejected or dismissed the teachings of the Savior.The importance of this introduction of Neo-Platonism in the Old World (Europe/Asia/Middle East/Africa) of the early centuries after the death and resurrection of the Savior cannot be underestimated as today it is still in full force – different players but the same teachings as found in the creeds of the various religions. The teachings changed all and especially that the Scriptures are not to be taken literally! Thus today one will see almost all of the churches claiming a variety of names – have several things in common: 1) a God without a body of flesh and bones or passions; 2) no line of authority for their Priesthood to either Adam or Peter, James and John; 3) creeds which contradict the literal Scriptures; 4) Confusion, Contradiction, Contention and without answers to basic questions when asked about the Holy Bible; and 5) no current revelation or added Scriptures or teachings from the Father or the Son (as these are unneeded in our day)[x]. All of this confusion leaves many wondering which church they should join and in the end many either don’t join or go with the most popular where they currently reside. Thus, the confusion gains Satan or the adversary the most and those living today the least! As this is near the end of days or the latter-days which all of the Prophets (living and dead) have spoken of it would appear for those who’ve a choice to make or have made that they’ve the most to gain or the most to lose by their choice of which Church or churches to join. In the answer to this singular concern – ‘Is the Savior’s Church on this earth at this time?’ one had better have done their own homework and not depended upon another. As most who do believe there is a God it could be understood that they can read so that they can search the Scriptures on their own. In fact the Savior so commanded that we do this singular thing in John 5:39, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.[xi]” If the Church has been restored in these the latter-days – then where is it to be found? For if it has been (and I testify with millions of others that it has) and one does not find it or seek it out then they will be found among those with the most to lose; i.e. eternal life. We’ve to remember eternal life and being saved are two separate and distinct states of being. Being saved is a gift paid in full by the Atonement of the Savior – wherein he took upon himself all of the sins of this world[xii]. By doing this the Savior removed the death which was caused by the Fall of Adam – or the Spiritual death – allowing all who’ve not committed murder (shedding of innocent blood) or denied the testimony of the Holy Ghost – to be saved in one of the three degrees of glory – from the least to the highest. When one searches the Scriptures – one will find that the criteria for other than just being saved which all men/women had to be – the things which one must do are many to gain the higher glory or glories and the highest to live once more in the continual presence of the Father and the Son – with their families forever and forever – or to have eternal life. As stated in the beginning each person on this earth in this mortal probation have agency – to choose good or evil. The Commandments, Laws and Statutes of the Father and the Son present the rules of which we are to fully abide in order to achieve the Celestial Kingdom. Then the full principles and ordinances of the Gospel of Jesus Christ provide us the way to achieve this obedience: 1) Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; 2) Repentance; 3)Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins (by one having authority); and 4) Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost (by one having authority).There is a plan – we voted to accept it in the Pre-existence – and therefore earned the right to receive a mortal body and come to this earth. The Plan of Salvation was presented to us by Heavenly Father – but we still had the choice or agency to accept or reject. One-third of the host of our Heaven rejected the Plan and followed Satan – and came to this earth without a body and can never attain one – with the exception as found in the Scriptures where evil spirits take over those they can find to inhabit – even if it means the pigs in the fields. Our decisions here will make the difference in the eternal worlds which come after this second estate on where we will be found – in the Telestial – Terrestrial – Celestial Kingdoms or in Outer Darkness. Unlike what many of the religions of the day teach the Savior has never said that all will be damned who don’t hear or accept his gospel during this mortal probation. Men/women will be judged on their acts/actions and justly awarded if they did not accept the fulness of the Gospel when having the chance to do so. While those who did not hear the Gospel in its Fulness will have the opportunity in the Millennial Period of time. Thus those who lived when the Gospel was not on this earth will hear it taught to them – or those who lived when it was on this earth but had no opportunity to hear it preached will also hear it taught in its fulness. All will hear and will either accept or reject as they would’ve if they had heard it in their lifetimes. Justice and mercy will both be met. Many of this earth will be quite content with where they end up in their third estate – after this mortal probation – for in part it will be based on what decisions they made with their own agency. However, for one who heard the Gospel in its Fulness – and then turned away – it is he or she who will understand fully of who has the most to gain or the most to lose by their choice – as they know what they could’ve inherited and what they choose to inherit. May the Lord’s Blessings be found with each of you on this Sabbath Day – may you each be found in honesty with your choices – be good – understand James 1:27 – and never quit looking and seeking further light and knowledge – the fulness of truth – in the name of Jesus Christ – amen – c/ork

[ii] Only those in the Celestial Kingdom will be in the presence of both the Father and the Son – in the Terrestrial the Savior (or Son) will come to visit but not linger. In the Telestial all will be without either ever forever and ever.

[iii] The word agency has to be used in the eternal form for it to have the meaning of one having agency to act on behalf of themselves in all things. Man’s definition addresses the word agency only in legal or business terminology. Thus the usage of such combinations as Moral Agency or Free Agency cannot compute to the legal world in which we live.
