“To Be as Our Father and Our Savior (his only begotten Son)” (The eternal purpose and meaning of Spirituality)

“To Be as Our Father and Our Savior (his only begotten Son)”
(The eternal purpose and meaning of Spirituality)

What follows is from a conversation with my wife of 45+ years on the meaning and how to apply Spirituality in our lives. Having come from a meeting where there was discussion of the fundamentals to gain Spirituality; i.e. Prayer, meeting attendance, FHE, Tithing and Offerings and other such channels. While within the meeting her mind took a different avenue in which involves  how Spirituality increases in our lives. Therefore in seeking clarity we discussed her thoughts in more detail.

First, let’s clarify her thoughts into written form: when one speaks or thinks of Spirituality it involves the ideas of our oneness with the Father and the Son (Matt. 5:48). For only by being perfect can we return their presence and be one with the Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ as they are one with each other (and we’ve been commanded to do so). By the grace (power given to us to endure) the Father and the Son provide to us insights to learn more about them. Thus Spirituality within us – returns power and energy to them  through our service/ works thus showing our respect and honor to them. Each must remember one gives honor and respect to the Father and the Son by doing their will. Therefore the interchange of energy’s become more than just one or the other. Making us (the servants) more able to do and to learn – and our Father and his Son are thus able to bestow more blessings upon us.

Second, it is necessary to understand energy and power. Energy begets and builds more energy – the Lord’s grace while greatly misunderstood by the worldly – is the spiritual power given for us to endure the trials and tribulations of this world. The scripture (see Ether 12:27, D&C 17:8, 2 Corinthians 12:9) which refers to ‘grace’ isn’t just about being ‘saved’ but a beginning to become more like the Savior (until we indeed can become like Him (Moroni 7:48). Energy equates power – power equates to grace – grace must therefore equate to energy. One could consider this the power and energy which emanates and returns to the highest degree of glory of Celestial Kingdom. Only does the Celestial Kingdom require full obedience, works, faith, and becoming even one with the Father and the Son.

Third, in what has been discussed above then helps us understand that what has been proposed as to the meaning and understanding of Spirituality, which it is intangible except by our works to learn more of the intangibles of the doctrines of the Father and the Son to which we’re to learn to adopt as our own. Below is the definition of energy as found in Wikipedia:

When we are speaking of energy there are several dynamic forms but what is discussed here is not the worldly energy (or available energy) but of infinite energy that which we not only need – but which we can increase infinitely for our righteous behavior. Thus if Heavenly Father is the author of all natural law – then he has infinite energy of which he can bestow upon those who honor and respect he and his Son. We’re able to earn such energy through not only our obedience in the commandments but in our exercising our agency as to have eternal faith in that which we yet do not know – but will eventually know – and in our choices of doing work of service unto others for the Father.

Therefore in acknowledging all of the above – we must always be mindful of doing the simple tangible things of the commandments; i.e. tithing’s, offerings, callings, home teaching, visiting teaching, or those things which are expected in order to be able to do the intangible. The basics are well known still even though most of which are simple to perform and to complete these basics are usually overlooked – or even worse, considered all that needs to be done.

The goal of this mortal probation is to return to the presences of our Heavenly Father and his only begotten his Son – our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. Too many people ignore divine doctrine. Therefore it is taught that by Grace all are saved via the Atonement – which only in part is very true. What is forgotten all  nothing excepted; those who’ve lived even when the Gospel of Jesus Christ was not on this earth – and those who when living while the Gospel has been on the earth never heard it. Again too many deny this belief as well – thinking there is only the two choices of Heaven or Hell ignoring about the various kingdoms from the teachings of Paul. With all of this belief system in mind, the world is a thoroughly wicked place with the influence and doctrines of the adversary in the forefront of the teachings (logismoi) of men replacing the gnosis of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now to return to the premise above – that Spirituality is a means of our becoming one with the Father and the Son. Indeed a power exchange between the Father and  achieving righteousness as His children (you or I). An exchange which increases our respect and honoring for the Father – and his in turn to extend to us his Son’s grace for us to endure to the end in this wicked world. Without it being a two way interchange it would be meaningless! For when energy only goes in one direction it expends itself in the infinity of space or otherwise separates into other matter. Energy has to have a reciprocal giving and taking or it becomes disordered (refer to the three laws of energy).  Therefore, if the grace from the Father and the Son above is provided and not in some way returned to them then it to will turn to disorder. It is incumbent upon each of us to return our grace (power/energy) in kind (our prayers/works/services/testimonies and other ways) in seeking to become like the Father and the Son.

The acceptance of our role in our eternal salvation is of utmost importance – we’ve choices to make – things to do – both tangible and intangible – much to learn. We’ve to become as the Father and the Son – as they are with each other. We’ve been commanded to do so – why do we do otherwise?

(Note: I wish to thank my wife for such wonderful insights that I’m able to share with others.) c/ork

“Honoring and Knowing Our Heavenly Father!” cji 6/15/14

“Honoring and Knowing Our Heavenly Father!” cji 6/15/14

The purpose of this mortal probation is to gain the Celestial Kingdom in the highest degree of glory (as told to us by Paul – 1st Corinthians 15). In order to gain this Kingdom and to live once more with our Heavenly Father and our Savior with our families and a physical body of flesh and bone as the Father and the Son now have. (Every person is literally a son or a daughter of God, having been born as a spirit to Heavenly Parents before being born to mortal parents on the earth (Heb. 12:9). Each person on earth has an immortal spirit body in addition to a body of flesh and bone. As sometimes defined in scripture, the spirit and the physical body together constitute the soul (Gen. 2:7; D&C 88:15; Moses 3:7, 9, 19; Abr. 5:7). A spirit can live without a physical body, but the physical body cannot live without the spirit (James 2:26). Physical death is the separation of the spirit from the body. In the resurrection, the spirit is reunited with the same physical body of flesh and bone it possessed as a mortal, with two major differences: they will never be separated again, and the physical body will be immortal and perfected (Alma 11:45; D&C 138:16–17).

To gain the Celestial Kingdom and to live once more with the Father and the Son we’ve to know Heavenly Father personally – as we’re to know the Son – via all of the Scriptures which speak on him and what he himself had to say not only about himself but that like he was so was the Father!!! The purpose of this life is to return to them – thus with the Atonement the way was made that this could happen. John 17:3 (The importance of knowing Heavenly Father) 1 John 2:3–5; 4:7–8; Enos 1:1–7; Mosiah 4:9–12; 5:13; D&C 88:63–65; 93:1 (How we come to know Heavenly Father). Elder Robert D. Hales’s talk “Seeking to Know God, Our Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ.” https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2009/10/seeking-to-know-god-our-heavenly-father-and-his-son-jesus-christ?lang=eng “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent”? (John 17:3)

Too often too many get caught up in the giving of gifts – or otherwise worldly tributes to those father’s here on earth or who’ve lived and died in our various genealogical lines. Forgetting all about the Sabbath Day – and most importantly our Heavenly Father! Thus falling into the various traps laid by the adversary of placing the worldly over the eternal aspects of our personal mortality. Understand in many cases showing appreciation to our earthly father’s (parents) is appropriate but this should be done 24/7 in compliance with the Commandment #5: “Honour thy father and thy mother” (Exodus 20:12). This commandment remains binding throughout our lives and can be understood in several ways: We should honor our fathers and our mothers who are our ancestors; we should be grateful to the father and mother who provided our earthly bodies; we should honor those who raised us in the knowledge of the truth. Above all, we should honor our Heavenly Parents. The way we honor all these fathers and mothers is by keeping the commandments. https://www.lds.org/topics/ten-commandments?lang=eng

What does it mean to ‘honor’ – (Note: this is a topic I’ve written on many times.) One honors another by being obedient in all things righteous – worthy (eternally) – honesty – virtue – and otherwise anxiously engaged in doing what is right. This shows ‘honor’ to those as we’ve been commanded to do so – but in the idea of ‘Love’ it is something we should do in understanding Father’s Will be done and not ours! To ‘honor’ means to be humble (not weak or afraid) knowing our true relationship with our Heavenly Father – and taking heed of the full instructions given by the Savior in the Bible (Old and New Testaments), the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price and in the Doctrine and Covenants. There is found all that is encompassed in ‘honoring’ both our progenitors and our Heavenly Parents.

To ‘honor’ does not mean to shower someone with gifts, trips, idol worship, grand banquets, worldly praise or any of the myriad ways men/women have found to do for a price in today’s world. Sadly, most feel this is the only way to ‘honor’ – living a worldly life and seeking what the world offers and not what truth, light and knowledge presents.

Maybe to better understand this – we’ve to remember we’ve both a Spiritual Body and a Physical Body of flesh, bone and blood. The Spiritual (some call this the Soul) is to help us to take control of the Physical body which is carnal by nature; (1 Cor. 2:14The natural man is an enemy to God and should be put off, Mosiah 3:19 He that persists in his own carnal nature).  Too many put off the Spiritual and thus become an enemy to God – and therefore cannot know him! Without the knowledge of knowing God – then how could one possibly enter back into his presence? Instead men/women choose to be impressed by worldly persons – to the point of paying their obligations to them – even being in fear of those with great powers – such as Kings/Queens/Rulers/Presidents – therefore having no fear of the Scriptures or Heavenly Father and/or His Son and our Savior Jesus Christ. Thus it is without ‘honor’ that they give any credence to the Father and the Son.

Fear is an often misunderstood and misinterpreted word. By definition, Fear can have two meanings: (1) to fear God is to feel reverence and awe for him and to obey his commandments; (2) to fear man, mortal dangers, pain, and evil is to be afraid of such things and to dread them. Thus the conflict seems to be the application in reverse of these two meanings in our world today (as often was seen throughout written history). Today men/women reverence and stand in awe – being obedient to the tenants, logismoi and rules of those with worldly powers. While on the other hand most only fear God as to mortal dangers, pain and the evils found in the world – blaming him in all things. Thus they ‘honor’ the worldly – while abhorring the eternal and Heavenly Father and His Son! We must always remember, Doctrine and Covenants 76:5-6 (and 7-10)  5 For thus saith the Lord—I, the Lord, am merciful and gracious unto those who fear me, and delight to honor those who serve me in righteousness and in truth unto the end. 6 Great shall be their reward and eternal shall be their glory.

Where will we be found on this day and everyday – ‘honoring’ Heavenly Father (thus being fully obedient in all of the Commandments – remember there are many more than just the Ten oft repeated) – or found ‘honoring’ men/women instead? When referring to the multiple Commandments found in the Scriptures all are there to help us to hold fast to the Rod of Iron (which is the Word of God) and bring us closer to happiness here in this mortal probation and then into eternal salvation after this life. However, to really simplify things one only has to be fully compliant with the first two ‘great’ Commandments – and then they’ll be found in total obedience to all of the others! Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. It is in verse 40 that we learn the importance of these two Commandments – and yet most miss this completely!

What are our eternal goals? Most have only to be saved – whereas all men/women and all living things on this earth are saved via the Atonement of the Savior. (Note: those who deny the Holy Ghost once having received it cannot be saved, ever) The sin of denying the Holy Ghost, a sin that cannot be forgiven. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men:Matt. 12:31–32; ( Mark 3:29; Luke 12:10; ) It is impossible for those who were made partakers of the Holy Ghost to renew them again unto repentance:Heb. 6:4–6; If we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins:Heb. 10:26; If ye deny the Holy Ghost and know that ye deny it, this is a sin which is unpardonable:Alma 39:5–6; ( Jacob 7:19; ). Otherwise all living things having lived on this earth are saved! Thus we then apply what Paul taught as to where each will go depending on their worthiness, faith, works and obedience to the Father and the Son – to one of the various Kingdoms.
Maybe to go a bit further – being ‘saved’ is only the beginning of the journey to return to the presence of Heavenly Father once more. It is the first step in acknowledging who we are – sons and daughters of Heavenly Father – very literally! In this relationship – we can ‘honor’ Heavenly Father – as the Savior taught – “If you love me, keep my Commandments” and to love the Son – is love his (and our Father) who sent him to this earth to Atone for the sins/transgressions of all men/women – to meet the law of justice and provide mercy so we could earn (EARN) our way back into their presence. Thus the first part was not done by us – but by the Savior! We then have to live by their Commandments – all of them (remembering the two great ones as the template for full obedience). If we’re found doing this then we’ll find and understand more clearly the Bible and thus understand and accept the 2nd Witness to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – the Book of Mormon. One must remember the Bible is under constant attack by the world – Heavenly Father and the Savior knew this would happen – read almost any of the Old Testament Prophets (especially Isaiah/Ezekiel) – thus they knew there had to be a 2nd Witness of the Savior and of the teachings found in the Bible – (see Ezekiel 37:16, 19). One cannot prove anything to another without at least two witnesses (or sources) as primary (without circular proofs) which stand alone and can be verified. Both the Bible (Old and New Testaments – Stick of Judah) and the Book of Mormon (Stick of Joseph) stand alone and testify of each other. The Bible cannot testify of itself and since it is the House of Judah (it is one witness) and the Book of Mormon cannot testify of itself and since it is the House of Joseph (it is one witness) combined they become two witnesses which both testify of Jesus Christ – his Mission – his Atonement and most importantly they Testify of Heavenly Father as a separate person from that of his Son (who is also a separate person).

Honoring our Heavenly Father on Father’s Day (and everyday 24/7/365(6) is the most important thing we can do in our mortal probation! We’ve to remember that the Savior constantly honored his Father in everything he said and did! Can we do less if we want to return to the Celestial Kingdom to live with them and our families? Thus on this Father’s Day we can turn around – get ourselves back on the road to Zion and eternal life and salvation – leaving Babylon behind – repenting – and showing forth love to the Father and the Son – but as the Son taught – most especially to our Heavenly Father! As quoted above, Doctrine and Covenants 76:5-6  5 For thus saith the Lord—I, the Lord, am merciful and gracious unto those who fear me, and delight to honor those who serve me in righteousness and in truth unto the end. 6 Great shall be their reward and eternal shall be their glory.

In the name of the Son – even Jesus the Christ – amen c/ork

"Gnosis or Logismoi" (a short essay)

“Gnosis or Logismoi” cji 6/14/14

This was written to me from a friend upon reading the writing “Dissembled” and what follows is my response:  “Wow is this not true???  I get ill just thinking about what is happening to people, how deplorable they act and treat others.  Why don’t those who are around us not see what the government is doing, what the illegals are doing and the druggies and deadbeats?  Are their eyes so closed that they do not see?”

Yup – but we’re not to worry about the world!!! Think of it this way – we’re to be humble – i.e. loving and serving Heavenly Father – anything else is to be prideful – we’re to be confident in what Heavenly Father represents in our lives – thus we live in such a way which honors Him and our beloved Savior! To honor means to be obedient in all that He’s asked us to do (nothing wavering) and thus to have no fear of the world or worldly. We know it’s a wicked place – and the world and worldly do too – as in their agency they’ve chosen to fear the world and thus are found in serving the world and not Heavenly Father. We must appreciate that all of the Prophets saw our day – some were able to describe it while others were told it was not their calling to do so.

Thus when one reads Isaiah and Revelations they can gain great insights to what is happening – but not only these two – Job, Joel, all of the Book of Mormon, James, John, Peter and much of what Paul wrote. Maybe Paul said it best, “…when the Gnosis is gone there will only be Logismoi…” (paraphrase) – we know the world worships Logismoi – while with the Restoration some have come unto the Gnosis as it has been restored once more.

As I explained to one of my sons – that we’re living in the latter-days and as a result much of the 1/3 of heaven that sat on their hands are most likely here in mortality – with only a couple of exceptions when has the world been such a wicked place? However, in addition much of the 1/3 of heaven which followed and fought on the side of the Savior are here as well. Some will be exposed to hear the Gospel in its fullness while others were so righteous they don’t have to hear it now – just have a physical body and endure to the end. This would help account for the billions in India/China and SE Asia who’ll never hear the Gospel taught in their mortal probations.

Thus we’ve to choose to worry about the world/worldly – or to do what we’re supposed to be doing in the gardens and vineyards we’ve been called upon to till and nourish. Too many it seems like in our agency Heavenly Father is giving us a choice of what to do – but in reality he’s not. Why can I say this – because Heavenly Father gives us various alternatives – but in each of them he also gives us the rewards and the penalties. Most never hear of the rewards or the penalties – they only hear there’s a choice. We’ve been told to keep the Commandments – but we’ve our agency to choose to do so or not – however, the real reason we keep the Commandments is because we love the Lord. One cannot love the Lord and the world – can’t be done – as they are totally opposites. One requires humility – honesty – virtue – obedience – morals – and truthfulness. While the world requires pride, fear, and a secret covenant to choose pleasure or selfish desires over service. Understandably they are not quite that clear cut – but when one does away with all of the fluff of the world that is basically what is occurring.

Many if not all religions have wavers for sinning – being carnal – and all will be forgiven. Many religions teach that anyone can be saved by various man-made ideas – and that’s all one has to do. Many religions do not (repeat do not) teach about the various degrees of Glory and what the differences are – but only that there’s a heaven or a hell – some going to one and many more to the other (depending on the belief system most religions condemn everyone not of their belief system that they will be going to hell). Almost all organized religions believe and teach that those who don’t accept Jesus as their Savior in this life are going to hell. Which denies the Atonement of the Savior! In addition, most of what is  taught is not contained in the Scriptures (either when first written or what the revisionists have done to them since). Therefore we come back full circle to the Logismoi of men/women which is taught as being greater than the Gnosis of Heavenly Father.

Therefore too many pray to be heard praying – without waiting for their answers – or when hearing their answers ignoring them as they did in the days of Jerimiah and other Old and New Testament Prophets (or those living today). This is called by the Prophets when they’ve been asked to pray for a people they address the peoples requests as being ‘dissembled’ or without any real intent to listen to the instructions given by the Lord in answer to their petitions. One can liken this to a friend, associate, professional asking your advice – then you give it is all sincerity and they ignore – or wait for someone else to offer it as if you were unheard. It happens a lot more than one would believe especially if you’re younger – or not as polished as an apple should be found.

There is almost nothing that can be said about our world today – if we choose to look at it this way – however, if we look at as one who’s read the Scriptures (all of them), pondered them – prayer with real intent – righteously – seeking to repent of our wrongdoings – and being humble to receive an answer to our petitions (even those we might not like) – then this is a great time to be alive and living on this earth. We’re in the Latter-days – the Gospel has been restored in its fullness and as the Jewish writings have pointed out over and over – that Messiah ben Joseph – would come before the Messiah ben David or Jesus Christ would return in all of his might and power. How greater could this be fulfilled than in Joseph Smith, Jr. called as a lad – who endured persecution all of his life – and never denied (as Paul) that he’d seen a vision – and followed the directions he’d been given in the Restoration of the Saviors Church and thus his Kingdom (which had to be restored for him to be able to come to it in the 2nd Coming) – and that all of the various prophecies given by Joseph Smith, Jr. and those who’ve come before and after are being fulfilled literally as we live today.

We’ve so much to be grateful for – each and every day – that we are saddened when many of those we love and cherish as family and friends have chosen not to share in this joy is but a part of the enduring in this life – to be found obedient – humble and selflessly service as we’re called – will resolve itself in Heavenly Father’s eternal Plan of Salvation. As a wise person once said, “If what you believe is true – and what I believe is not then what have I lost for I believe all that you believe and more? However, if what I believe is true then what have you lost?” (Note: this was said to one who was teaching there was no God and all we had to do was live with honesty, virtue – and there was nothing after death. And what the wise person was teaching that there is a God – and what we do in this life does matter – and will have a firm result in our eternal salvation.) Can it be said one only needs to read what is available in the Scriptures putting aside the commentaries and other persons interpretations – for the Scriptures really are quite clear and simple to understand unless we just don’t want them to be.

May we remember that this is only a mortal probation – a temporary blinking of the eye between the pre-existence and the passing through the veil into the next existence. Those who can read and have access to the Scriptures will be accountable for having done so – or allowing another do it for them. Remembering much of the educated world today doesn’t feel that God is even needed any more and that the heavens if ever opened are surely closed today. This is what is scary – but again we’ve to decide for ourselves and then do what is right.

May we remember to love and respect everyone’s right to choose for themselves – in the name of Jesus Christ – amen – c/ork

"Of Some Concern" (short essay)

“Of Some Concern” cji 6/10/14

The following came across my computer screen today and I’ve felt to address it as there is some truth – mixed with much error as to what the worldly think and how they feel most of the world’s population will be treated at the close of this mortal probation.

It starts with, “Open my eyes O LORD that I may see the wonders of your …WORD” Which in practicality makes little sense – if we know to address the Lord the Father – they know also the wonders are all about them. Referring to the WORD refers to the Lord Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of the Father. His word his fully presented by the Prophets and Apostles of the previous dispensations of the Gospel on this earth as it is today by Prophets and Apostles of this last dispensation.

Daily Meditations That can change people’s lives Monday 9 June 2014 – Mediations are founded in various Eastern Philosophy, mysticism, Yoga, Hinduism and Buddhism while containing some Western influences. As found in the Epistle of James – Works and Faith are required to understand the teachings of the Scriptures – reaching out in service – being clean from the sins of the world – and asking with real intent of the Father to know and understand truth. Meditating may gain you an inner-peace but it will not and cannot teach you the things of the Gospel of Jesus Christ – that requires work, pondering, reading, studying, pray and practicing correct principles in your life. James 1:27 sums it up as to what pure religion is.

Next is the lesson: “CLOSED DOOR” (is the title)

Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.  Matthew 24:44

(What is forgotten here is that He’s already fulfilled what he told his Apostles when they asked when he would return – he answered them and said, “When he who sent me – comes with me!” The Father and the Son came to this earth on a Spring Day in the year 1820 in Palmyra NY! As for the 2nd Coming when the Millennium will start – that day again no one knows but we know all of the Scriptures (Prophesies) will be fulfilled as found in all of the Scriptures – Old/New Testament/Book of Mormon/Doctrine and Covenants/Pearl of Great Price and other Revelations given to the living Prophet upon the earth at this time.)

The Story: The County Clerk’s Office closes at 4:30 PM.  A man went to the clerk’s office at 4:36.  He looked at the closed door, tried the latch, knocked lightly. He was six minutes late.  The office was closed.
A helpless look spread over the man’s face.  Didn’t he know what the business hours are?  What kept him from coming in during the eight hours before closing time?  Did he think almost in time is good enough?  Like at the courthouse, it won’t be any different when another door; to eternity with Christ, is forever closed and people are left standing outside, desperately knocking and begging to get in.
Are you making good use of your opportunities today?  We have no promise of tomorrow.  Have you made your destiny sure in Christ?  Have you been putting off that “religion” stuff—your surrendering your life to Christ?
You don’t want to be shut out by a closed door. (Based on a reflection from Beside The Still Waters)

Actually unless certain important steps are taken this will only be the case if you were planning on the Celestial Kingdom with your family in tact – and were a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had put off going to the Temple (for whatever reasons) – most everyone else will end up about where they expect to with or without knowing Heavenly Father or the Savior. Sadly in the prevalent religions of the day – they feel only certain persons are going to Heaven and everyone else is damned. The Atonement was for every living thing on this earth and others (as considered by Heavenly Father and the Savior) – some to one Kingdom and some to others. Only those who’ve denied the Holy Ghost (i.e. those who at one time belonged to the Saviors Church when upon this earth – either in the past dispensations or the current one – will be regulated to outer darkness.

Some may spent a lot of time reconciling the evils they’ve done but after paying the utter most farthing for their transgressions will be allowed into one the three Kingdoms of which Paul presented in his letters. Too many take for granted there’s only a Heaven and Hell (where most of those born in this world are destined to go) – and fail in their reading of the Scriptures and or of the prophecies of the multitude of Prophets over the generations of this world. Sadly the most forgotten people in the most forgotten land who can neither read, write or could’ve known of the Father or the Son will be saved and taught the Gospel in the Millennial of time after the Second Coming.

Each person who’ve never heard the Gospel while alive will then hear and accept or reject it as they would’ve had they received it while alive and with the full reasoning of what was presented. Those who’ve had access to read, write, study, ponder and understand will have already made their choices while alive if the Gospel were upon the earth during their life-times and they heard it taught but rejected it for whatever reasons.

One must appreciate that what was written about being six minutes late indicated that the person knew the hours and when they should’ve come to do business. This is much like understanding the ‘last shall be first and the first shall be last’ in that had he/she gotten to the business (in this case the Gospel of Jesus Christ) even with 10-1 seconds to go they would’ve been allowed within. Heavenly Father and the Savior have set up very strict and unbendable rules (no matter how many preach that it is okay to sin a little – and then seek forgiveness) and each will be judged upon their understanding (or their ability to understand had they taken their time to seek out the rules on their own) and what they did or didn’t do with such understandings.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is quite simple – clear – concise – without loop-holes – and plainly taught by the Prophets and the Apostles of each dispensation – including todays. Many forget the repeat so often the “Lord’s Prayer” (which it was his prayer to show an example of how to pray) – in the words, “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven…” Each time one is imploring the Lord for it to come (the Kingdom) – and in fact it is already been established on this earth. How can the Lord (Jesus Christ) come to his Kingdom if it is not already here? And we must remember this prayer was given not for vain repetition but only as an example of how to address the Father in Heaven – and remembering he was addressing his Father (which most religion indicate that he is the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, etc. please read the appropriate Creed so you know what it is others preach about the Godhead and other beliefs.

(Note: Reading the Creeds are important as most all of the Creeds of Men/Women have little or nothing to do with what is taught in the Scriptures – but convenient to their philosophies mixed with Scripture.)

Another part of the short story about being late is that when the application of Justice and Mercy are applied there will be no excuses – none! The greatest gift of the adversary is that there are both allowable excuses and one can procrastinate until the last possible moment (even to the point of being late).

As for surrendering or making your destiny sure – this is not found anywhere in the Scriptures – one has to follow the example of the Savior and make themselves worthy – or perfect even as the Father is perfect. Knowing we cannot do this on our own there was the Atonement which met the letter of the law of Justice and allowed Mercy to have its part presented as well. (Note: A discussion on the Atonement is a whole involved work – but suffice it to say that it is the key to all those who live or have lived on this earth in mortality to enter into one of the three Kingdoms’ spoken of by Paul.) The only way to make one’s calling and election sure is by full obedience to all of the Commandments (not just the ten which are well known – yet disputed) and to be obedient willingly to these Commandments. In other words for us to be found actively engaged within the garden or the vineyard with a clean soul and a pure heart. For the full effect of Eternal Salvation – living in the mansions prepared in the highest degree of glory in the Celestial Kingdom with the Father and the Son – all of our family members (progenitors and posterity) with a physical body of flesh and bone as the Father and the Son both have – we need to have done all that the Scriptures have commanded us to do on this earth! And this includes proper repentance – baptism – receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (all by those having the keys and authority from God and not from man or a university/school) – then going to the House of the Lord to be Sealed (again by one having authority) for time and all eternity. Then this is not all – we must be found in full obedience to all of the Covenants we’ve made.

We’ve to be humble – truthful – honest – and most of all as the Lord has commanded enduring to the end – regardless of the trials and tribulations we’re called to go through. Meditation – destiny – surrendering – will accomplish none of this – we’ve to get out and do with righteous motivation in the way the Lord has taught and directed through his living Prophets and Apostles. The Savior did what he saw his Father do – and he always submitted his will to the Father – as they were one in thought and purpose and we must too – if we want to obey their Commandment to become like them.

All of the above is truthful – one may reject it – refute it – but it is my testimony and if one carefully reads all of the Scriptures – taking out the Greek Philosophy – men/women’s philosophy – they will know and understand – what I testify of – that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored again to this earth – it was done by the Father and the Son first appearing the Joseph Smith, Jr. in the Spring of 1820 – and followed up by the restoration of all of the keys needful for the proper direction of the Church. That there is a Prophet of God on this earth today Thomas S. Monson who holds all of these keys – and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. This is true – and again one doesn’t have to believe it and many do not and won’t rather to believe others who say it is not. It’s okay – the doors will be locked in a timely manner regardless – one can believe the world or one can believe Heavenly Father and the Son – none can have it both ways. Remember throughout history they’ve stoned or otherwise murdered the Prophets and Apostles and indeed even the Son of God for teaching these same truths.

I believe and I am sure that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that He lives. He is the Only Begotten of the Father, and “by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God” (D&C 76:24). (These are Elder Boyd K. Packer’s words from the April 2014 General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – and they are my words now and forever.)

In the name of Jesus Christ – amen c/ork

Gathering into the masses
confusion and easy ways
providing excuses or demands
exploiting lack of knowledge
professing original knowledge
while inferring philosophies
from all over the world found
yet not in the Scriptures bound;

Of some concern proliferation
information which implies truth
ignoring Gospel principles
inferring from heavens closed
other information to suffice
gathering in now the masses
from all over the world found
now in false covenants bound;

Harsh some say the word
where so would ask the Savior
had not each read themselves
learning what Prophets taught
truthfulness is life saving
allowing each to breathe free
accepting truthful doctrine found
not adversarial chains bound!

"Teaching What?"

“Teaching What?”  cji 5/6/14

http://clashdaily.com/2014/05/controversial-christian-parents-train-kids-kill-necessary/"Should Christian Parents Train Their Kids to Kill If Necessary?"

Being Christian is not even relevant to carrying a weapon and self-defense - it's common sense! Common sense equates to truth - not contention or confusion as the modern world consider things!

Teaching kids to kill is overstatement - and meant to illicit contention and confusion - anger and misunderstanding! There is less crime in an armed citizenry - and criminals go where there is no armed citizenry. Kids depend on their parents and adults to protect them and if need that they can lend a hand if needed.

In self-defense it is neither killing nor murder! We cannot help it if someone has a suicidal urge and decides to attack us? We send kids into combat all the time - and in the early days a young person going to war could be as young as 9 years (sometimes even younger) - and almost any child could learn to load an empty weapon.

Killing and murder can be done in many ways without any weapon - especially in hurtful words/hatred/lying/cheating/stealing and in politics like we've today trying to murder/kill the Constitution and freedoms. The PC teach our children daily to be politically correct in joining those who daily - lie/cheat/steal/hate and commit other of a myriad of actions associated with murder/killing. They teach them to disregard laws and that there is no right or wrong. Indeed many of the forms of Christianity have no resemblance to the Savior or His Gospel! And those who've any other form of belief system teach most to hate and kill/murder from the age of three or four.

Time will tell who is right and wrong - but following the literal truths of the Scriptures (which almost no-one does) would be a good start! Interestingly those who do are threatened by death/hatred and discriminated against by those who claim to be doing so.

Yes - Satan doesn't care if you do or don't teach your children/kids anything as long as it isn't everything that is truthful and taught by the Savior. He loves contention, confusion, hatred and guile - all done in the name of righteousness.

Christians and all religions/non-religions should teach correct principles - truthfulness - prayer (to whoever they believe in and if they don't to respect those who do) - the difference between right and wrong - that it is black and white without any grays involved! However, most can't even get through the above sentence without doubting, questioning and contending with another as to what should be taught - looking for justifications and excuses to commit abuses!

Thus my two cents - c/ork

“Teaching What?”

Too many too concerned
with what is teachable
being politically correct
misusing the most truth
discombobulating truth
making lies as one’s goal
wanting all to be as slaves
desiring none to resist
teaching what they want
and not what is teachable;

Too many too non-caring
able no longer to resist
entitled to their existence
accepting poverty’s gift
fighting in the home/street
designing cheating abuses
desiring what’s another’s
destroying civilizations
while only enhancing
dictators/slavery/excuses;

Then blaming the righteous
making them to look bad
thus them to destroy first
giving birth to their truth
a lying/deceiving truth
teaching what they want
never correct principles
crafted misconceptions
rhetorical in manner only
destroying any truths!
